Folly Field Guestroom

Situated just 300m from the Cotswold way walk this guestroom offers the perfect place to rest after a day of walking, or a perfect base from which to explore the local area. The guestroom is nestled on the outskirts of the town of Stonehouse in the grounds of Woodchester Valley Vineyard's Doverow site. Please note that our harvest takes places betwwen mid Sept and end of Oct therefore please be aware tractors could be going passed in the morning and throughout the day and possibly at weekends. The guest room has a super king bed (with option for twin beds if preferred), 2 chairs and and T.V with freeview channels. Wifi. The ensuite bathroom has a large walk in shower; please note there is no bath. All linen and towels are supplied along with mini toiletries. The room has a small fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle; tea, coffee, sugar and milk are provided free of charge. Crockery and cutlery is also provided. Free parking is available on the premises. We are at the end of the phone should you need us, but we like to leave guests to enjoy the stunning setting. There is a caretaker and his family living on site. The guestroom is tucked away on a quiet lane, just off the Cotswold Way footpath. The town of Stonehouse is within walking distance. Stroud is a 5 minute drive offering a host of independent shops and cafés. There are many beautiful villages and towns all within 20 mins drive to explore. Please be aware the lane is bumpy and low in places so please drive slowly. We would recommend a car, however there is a train station in Stonehouse (approx. 15 minute walk) which has good links to Gloucester, Cheltenham Spa, Stroud and London. For walkers, the room is situated just 300m off the Cotswold Way in between Painswick and King's Stanley. Folly Field is set on a small complex where a memeber of staff lives with his family and two cats. We also have two other vineyard staff living on site. It has lovely views across the valley. The vines can be seen from the carpark but not from the room.
