We follow Airbnb’s five-step enhanced cleaning process & are a NSW Gov-registered 'COVID-Safe Business'. The Farmhouse is tucked away near the end of a scenic private road. Guests enjoy exclusive access to thousands of acres on the family-owned Birkenburn Farm. The historic property has abundant wildlife, birds and farm animals. The Farmhouse features modern country styling with art, collected pieces and unique furnishings. Your group will enjoy plenty of space, with several living areas, well-designed outdoor spaces, 5 comfortable bedrooms and 3 spacious bathrooms. Stunning views from every room, through landscaped gardens to idyllic bush and farmland. Luxuriate in big comfortable beds with quality linen. Relax on one of the long lounges and enjoy the many games, books, magazines and DVDs. Indulge in long fireside lunches around the huge table with family and friends. Get creative in the kitchen; fully-equipped with 5-burner gas stove, electric oven, fridges, dishwasher, coffee machine and more. Retreat to the Bunkhouse lounge for a quiet spot to chat or read. Enjoy a BBQ on the large sunny deck, or toast marshmallows on the fire-pit terrace under a million stars. The established garden is fully enclosed to keep younger children or dogs safe. Relax in the hammock under the oak tree, kick a ball on the large lawns. Lots of of outdoor parking space, and under cover parking is available for 1-2 cars if required. Birkenburn Farm offers marked walking trails, run or ride on the private road, natural play, picnicking, dam swimming, bird and wildlife-watching, photography and exploring the beautiful bushland, creek and peaceful rural environment. Please ask us if you'd like any more information. The Farmhouse is exclusively available to only one group at a time, with up to 17 guests per group. You will enjoy private access to the main house and garden facilities plus the number of bedrooms you have booked at The Farmhouse. PLEASE NOTE: As we are committed to AirBnB’s COVID-cleaning policy, ONLY THE BEDROOMS THAT ARE REQUIRED FOR YOUR GROUP WILL BE AVAILABLE DURING YOUR STAY. As with all AirBnB properties, OUR PRICE VARIES WITH THE SIZE OF THE BOOKING (from 4 up to 16 guests). Please enter the CORRECT NUMBER OF GUESTS in your group to see the RIGHT PRICE for your booking - if it is above your expectations, you are able to CANCEL PENALTY-FREE WITHIN THE 1ST 24 HOURS of making the booking. (We'll send you a checklist to book the rooms.) - ROOM 1: 1-2 people (king or 2 single beds), share Bathroom 1 - ROOM 2: 1-2 people (king or 2 single beds), share Bathroom 1 - ROOM 3 "The Nook": 1-3 people (double bed below & single bunk above), share Bathroom 2 - ROOM 4 "Studio": 1-4 people (king & 1-2 singles, or up to 4 singles), private ensuite Bathroom 3. - ROOM 5 "Bunkhouse": 1-6 people (2 x triple bunks - double beds below & singles above), share Bathroom 2. Bathrooms 1 & 2 have seperate toilets. Bathroom 2 has a bathtub. All 3 bathrooms have showers & 2 vanities. A travel cot is available on request, which fits in Rooms 1, 4 or 5. Access for "animal guests" can be arranged directly with the hosts. - securely fenced large house yard - secure dog kennel enclosures inside the yard - horse paddock, with trough, stall and a yard directly connected to the garden (involves an additional fee) You have access to most areas of the farm, please check if you are unsure of the boundaries. The host's own house and garden area is not accessible. The private 6km road is shared with 2 neighbouring properties; you may run / cycle / drive on the road but do not leave the roadway area under any circumstances while in the neighbouring properties. Please ask us if you'd like any more information. Please read the guest manual when you arrive at The Farmhouse, and if you have any further questions we are very happy to help you out. We value both your privacy and our own, so we prefer not to socialise but are generally available when needed. Our home is 200 metres further along the road from The Farmhouse. (We are close enough to provide assistance, but far enough away to maintain your privacy.) Bungendore village, 15 minutes drive, offers the closest cafes, local shops, markets and the famous Bungendore Woodworks Gallery. Within 30 minutes, you can experience the historic and creative town of Braidwood, or local Canberra district wineries. Canberra is an easy 45 minutes drive to world-class galleries and museums, sports venues, shopping, restaurants and bars. Or plan a day trip to the numerous beautiful South Coast beaches, just over an hour away. The Farmhouse is 3 hours drive from Sydney, and 45-60 minutes from Canberra. There is no regular public transport direct to the property. The nearby village of Bungendore (15 minutes away) can be reached by pre-booked train or bus from Sydney or Canberra. Local Bungendore taxis or bus hire to the property must be booked well in advance. The private 6km road off the highway to The Farmhouse is unsealed gravel, but is well-maintained & easily accessible by most 2WD cars. There is plenty of open-air parking at the Farmhouse. The Farmhouse is set up to provide maximum comfort and enjoyment to our guests. Please remember however that we are a rural location, so we feature some differences to city accommodation (which is part of the charm of "getting away from it all"!) These include: - RAINWATER ONLY supplied (use water carefully - short showers please!) - MOBILE COVERAGE CAN BE PATCHY with some providers - Telstra 4G is fine. - NO CONTINUOUS WIFI CONNECTION (however we can supply a portable "pocket wifi" that several devices can access at the same time, with a very limited amount of data that you can recharge) - NO TV RECEPTION (however there are board games, a DVD player / screen, stereo with bluetooth & usb connection, books, plenty of outdoor activity!)
