Guests have use of our huge communal garden, home to our resident dinosaur and dragon!! Moignes Court house and garden is also a venue for many community events, camps, social groups and workshops. we do have other people who camp here and 9 children who live here however the shared garden is huge and a paradise for children! for more information on the whole program of events here please contact us. The communal garden has a large banquet table, sandpit, mud kitchen, cob oven, tractor tyre climbing tower, pirate ship, plane seesaw, fire pit, tree house, climbing net, summerhouse playroom and trampoline You have use of a shared outdoor kitchen with washing up area, BBQ and firepit.. The Gert Yurt has log burning stove, rechargeable electric unit and private garden area. We are both professional musicians and educators. We offer Drumkit, African Drumming and Hammered Dulcimer lessons, workshops and performances. We also offer tuition in meditation, and body-weight strength training. As much or as little as you need! We live in the main house, so we are available if you need us, and we are very friendly! The garden is shared with us and our children. We have three families living in the main house- between us we have 9 young children. Bed time in our house is 8:30 so we are unavailable at that time and respectfully ask guests to limit noise in the main garden area after 9:00pm. The Yurt is set away from the main house so its ok to socialise and make noise in your private garden area untill 11:00pm Our home is located in Owermoigne, Dorset, United Kingdom. Owermoigne is a traditional, picturesque village, with thatched cottages, within 15 minutes driving distance to Weymouth seaside town, and County town Dorchester. 10 minute drive to beaches like Ringstead, Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. Lots of beautiful local walks. Owermoigne village has 2 plant nurseries, Cider museum, Clock museum, farm shop and Texaco garage. Galton garden centre is within walking distance, and has a cafe serving breakfast, and lunch. There are many local pubs, that serve good food and drink. HISTORY! When the Le Moigne heiress, Elizabeth, married Sir William Stourton in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) , the manor passed to the Stourton family. In (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) the then owner of the Owermoigne estate, Charles, 7th Lord Stourton, was hanged in Salisbury market square for the murder in Wiltshire of two men with whom he had been involved in a long-standing quarrel. Before his execution Lord Charles had pleaded with the reigning monarch, Queen Mary, for ‘some indulgence’ because he was a nobleman and a catholic. Honouring his request, the queen gave orders for him to be hanged with a ‘halter of silk in respect of his quality’.
