All pictures you see are private with the front door being your own entrance. There’s an internal door also that has a lock, so your area is completely secure and separate from the homeowners apartment. Well behaved crate trained dogs who don’t bark the entire time when left alone while their owners sightsee are welcome. (Please message owner with details of breed and temperament as there are some breed restrictions. An additional pet fee will be added to your reservation once you select you’re bringing pets). The home has great accessibility features as there are only three steps on the exterior. One step up from the pathway on to the front porch, one step into the home and one step down on the back patio. Other than that the entire internal rented space is all on one level. The homeowner lives on site with dogs who have access to the fenced area, they’re always supervised and seldom bark. Consider the homeowner your friendly neighbor. Once greeted on arrival you’re left alone to enjoy your stay. The farm is in a great location as Walton is 25 minutes from the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. Guests get to enjoy the main level of the farmhouse with access through the main front door. Owner is onsite to greet on arrival to show you around and explain a few things, answer any questions you may have and hand over the keys and leave you to settle in and enjoy your stay. We're in the countryside surrounded by farmland, yet minutes from downtown Walton and a short drive to Cincinnati, Florence, The KY Bourbon Trail, The Ark and the Creation Museum. Enjoy a peaceful walk on the trails on the acreage. Sunrise and sunset walks are the best. Or walk down the country lane and wave as locals pass you by. Its truly beautiful here. This is a pet friendly home and the homeowner offers a service of doggy daycare while you sightsee if needed (for an additional fee in addition to the pet fee and is subject to availability.) A non-refundable pet fee of $200 for the stay is added to the booking for guests wanting to bring their dogs with them. Dogs must be crated when left alone for any period of time to minimize the potential for damage. Dogs must not bark the entire time their owner is out sightseeing. Dogs must be leashed to go potty out front and all dog poop must be picked up and disposed of in the outside trash can. Dogs must be up to date on all vaccines including parvovirus, kennel cough, influenza and receive monthly flea, tick and heart work prevention. This is to avoid anything airborne being brought onto the farm and passed on to the owners dogs. There are breed restrictions that are dictated by the homeowner’s insurance company, hence why all dogs must be pre-approved prior to booking.
