We are situated 5 hours from Paris, 2 hours and a half from beaches, 1 hour from Clermont-Ferrand and 4 hours from Spain. Local amenities are nearby (Valuéjols 1 km) which include the post office, co-op, village shop, doctors, pharmacy, physiotherapist, cafe, bakery, library, car repair... Larger towns situated near are Ussel (4 km), medieval Murat (12 km) and historical town of Saint-Flour (14 Km) where there is a greater selection of shops but also museums and cinemas. For those people who enjoy walking the cottage is an ideal base for walkers being set directly on the GR4. For skiers the Super Lioran ski resort is at a 20 minutes drive and the Ché resort for cross-country skiing is at a 10 minutes drive. BE AWARE that Electricity is not included and will be charged at the end of your stay, linen and beds made on your arrival are on option. Ground floor: Large kitchen open to living room equipped with 4 gas hob, fan assisted oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker, raclette, dishes and utensils for 6, etc... (Basics will be provided to avoid shopping at your arrival: oil, coffee, spices, toilet paper, cleaning products, sponge, soap.) The dinning table can seat 4. Cosy living area with leather suite to seat four -flat screen TV (tnt channels) -Internet access with your smartphones -books, comics, games -guides and maps IGN of the surrounding areas First floor: -1 bedroom with a double bed (standard), chest of drawers and Wardrobe (duvets and pillows provided) -1 bedroom with bunk beds, Wardrobe (duvets and pillows provided) -cot, baby bath and highchair on request (free) -one bathroom with spacious shower, vanity unit and toilet (hair dryer provided) There is a wood deck with table, seats for four, parasol and BBQ, a garden with lawn beyond with sun loungers available during the summer and car parking for two cars on the gravel drive to the front of the property. Access to the garage in the winter for your skis We live right next door in an 1852 farmhouse which we converted into a spacious home ten years ago. So we will be available most of the time in case you need any technical help, information on activities and whereabouts or anything to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. One of us is fluent English. -electric heating is not included and will be charged before you leave, based on your consumption (but the house is very well insulated) Additional services subject to charges: -Linen and beds made for your arrival 10€/per bed (payable on arrival) -Cleaning fee 50€ (payable on arrival, but reimbursed if you do not want this option and the cleaning is done correctly) Check in time Saturday 2 pm and check out Saturday 11 am For a shorter stay please ask.
