The Luge , Hells Gate, Canopy Tours, Mamaku Rail trail. The house and surrounding back and front yard, carport and parking area are for your use. The driveway as such is shared from the gate to the top of the drive as this accesses the hosts neighbouring property. Our priority is that you enjoy your stay. We will be a phone call away and generally available should you need anything . We will meet you on arrival whenever possible. Lake Rotoma is pristine - Excellent swimming, water skiing and fishing Waitangi Soda Pools -A unique relaxing experience !Just down the road if you like a walk or a 2 minute drive these are natural hots. Joe Kemp (Ngai Tahu, Ngapuhi and Te Arawa (Ngati Makino)New Zealand is local , visit his Gallery on the main road at Lake Rotoma . Joe is Contemporary Maori sculptor and carver, his work is fantastic and admired by many ( definitely a must see) Kawerau - 20 minutes drive away has an awesome free swimming pool!, fabulous river walks. Nearest supermarket is New World at Kawerau. Rotoma has a general Store selling, petrol, diesel, ice-creams ... takeaways and the local cafe is a favourite for breakfast. Visit the hotpools on Lake Rotoiti - accessible only by boat Drive to Lake Okataina Boating on Lake Rotoma, Tarawera hot water beach is fantastic - take a water taxi from the Landing at Lake Tarawera or walk the track . Visit the Redwoods for a walk in the forest, Tree Walk or mountain biking Our property is pet friendly and guests are welcome to bring their family friendly outside dog with prior permission . We live on the adjoining lifestyle property and have two dogs ourselves a retired farm dog and a Fox Terrier.
