Large house in Tuscany for rent 19th century house in one of the Lucca region's most beautiful medieval mountain villages, Montefegatesi. There is a café, a post office and a small grocery store. From the balcony you can, on clear days, see the Mediterranean Sea all the way to Corsica. On the same floor there is also a small bathroom with shower and a living room with fireplace. In the yard there is a nice patio for sunny mornings. The house standard is simple and rustic. The nearest airport is Pisa, less than an hour and 20 minutes drive from the village. Among others, Ryanair, Norwegian and SAS fly directly from Stockholm, Gothenburg and Oslo. A rental car is recommended even though it is possible to get to Montefegatesi by train and bus. Montefegatesi is located in the picturesque Serchio Valley in northern Tuscany. The area is known for its good cuisine, the untouched nature with many hiking trails and hot springs. Situated about four kilometers from the village, is one of Italy's famous nature reserves, Orrido di Botri, with an adventurous hiking trail in a river wine. Bathing and long sand beaches are within a bit more than an hours drive from the village , to Florence it takes less than two hours. In the nearest town of Bagni di Lucca there are plenty of cafes and restaurants and a popular public bath. The town also has a spa. Along the Lima river, there are also nice possibilities for bathing for both children and adults. Free parking about 7 minutes from the house by foot. Buses run twice a day to Bagni di Lucca on weekdays during school hours. Trains run from Bagni di Lucca to Florence, Pisa and Viareggio with change in Lucca. Minimum 4 nights rental
