Comfortable apt. in its own building on 50+ wooded acres near Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, and Whiteface Mtn. Miles of walking trails. Great road biking. Large, private screened porch; Tempur-Pedic queen bed; full kitchen, big LR & cozy recliners. Very large screened porch. Lots of privacy, solitude, and quiet. Perfect for single or double occupancy, and one extra person can be accommodated upon request. Guests will have their own living room area with a fully equipped kitchen: 4-burner propane stove and oven, half-refrigerator; cookware, utensils, sink and generous counter space; toaster; coffeemaker (with coffees, teas, cream, sugar and honey available); standard bathroom with shower, toilet, sink and full-length mirror. Outside is a large, screened porch with dining/work table, chairs, recliners and a rustic-style rocker; there is access to trails both on and off the 50+ acre property; and guests may use laundry facilities in the main house if they so need or wish. Wi-Fi is provided free with password at check-in. We will be present at our separate house on the property, and guests may have as much or as little interaction with us as they would like. Our neighborhood is very quiet and has lovely walking and X-C ski trails. The property is wooded and private. Nearby waterways are great for boating, fishing, and swimming. Roads are perfect for walking or biking, with little traffic and great views. There is plenty of parking in our large driveway. Saranac Lake and Whiteface Mountain are only 20-minute drives. Lake Placid is only half an hour away. Nearby year-round hikes include Catamount, St. Regis, and Silver Lake mountains. As a side note, there is a small closet with chest of drawers for any unpacking/storage needs; a small vacuum cleaner; as well as soap, shampoo and conditioner, with a hair dryer available for those who might need any of those items.
