The annex is built within the grounds of our bungalow and located between the idyllic villages of Chalford and Minchinhampton and only 5 miles from Stroud. Stroud was voted the best place to live in the Sunday Times 2021. Newly built in 2021. The accommodation is accessed via its own private entrance and is arranged over two floors. Downstairs is an open plan spacious living/dinning area and fully equipped modern kitchen with access to a utility and shower room. The private garden is located via the kitchen through bi-folding doors onto a large decking area. Upstairs comprises of 1 bedroom with twin beds and an adjoining common space containing a double bed and storage, the stairs enter this sleeping area and the twin bedroom is accessed off of this sleeping area also. Private secure parking is available at the property which is accessed through electric gates. The annex and it’s garden is private to you during your stay. The annex is in the grounds of our house, we will happily greet you on arrival or if you prefer you can do self check in using the key box and we are on hand next door if you need any help or questions answered. The annex and garden are private to you. There are various footpaths accessible from the property offering walks that can take all day or just half an hour. The local pub in the village of Frampton Mansell is a 25 minute walk from the property on a quiet bridle path and serves amazing food and good real ales. There is also a farm shop, Jolly Nice within a 25 minute walk and a lovely cafe in the village of Chalford called Lavender bakehouse approximately 35 minute walk through a lovely wooded area, be prepared the hill is steep on the way back up! We are 5 miles from Stroud railway station and 8 miles from Kemble. Access to a car is recommended if you wish to visit the surrounding area but if you wish to just walk you will be able to park your car for the duration of your stay. The property is located on the edge of an old airfield built in World War One to house the Australian flying corps, it is now home to the Cotswold gliding club where most days gliders can be seen silently gliding overhead.
