Dorizata House, Ground floor

The two bedroom flat (50 sqm/540sqf) is on the ground floor of a two storey building that has been converted into 2 apartments. The ground floor apartment sleeps up to 5 people and constists of 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and a living room with a sofa. It has a big terrace and a barbeque where you can enjoy the views and eat your meals. The house is situated on a 2000sqm plot and has a large parking space for cars/boats and a nice garden to walk around. Each bedroom of the apartment has 1 double bed. There is also a sofa-bed in the third room. The many trees on the property give you a sense of being in the countryside and you can experience the life in a Greek village with all the lush nature around you! Dorizata is a small village on the island of Kefalonia , 10 km from the capital Argostoli. The property in Dorizata consists of a ground floor apartment of 50 sq.m. as well as the first floor apartment of 50 sq.m. The two apartments have separate entrances. There is a big yard around the ground floor and a nice barbeque for your evening meals. The sky above, lets you see why Greece is the country of light and sun! The village is very quiet and has only a few houses , without shops or bars . However , there are big supermarkets and some of the most beautiful beaches of the island within a 5-minute drive. Most beaches have all the facilities required by a tourist such as sunbeds, umbrellas, beach bars and restaurants in their vicinity. Beaches near Dorizata are for example the well known Agios Thomas beach, Pessada beach, Lourdas beach and Ai Helis beach. The airport is a 10 minute drive and the capital city Argostoli, of about 10.000 inhabitants, is just 15 minutes away by car. There you can find shops of all kinds, restaurants and night life if you wish! Your host Spyros, has a good knowledge of the English language, and will be able to communicate clearly everything you may want and need to know during your stay , which you may find useful. I will also be happy to give you all the advice you need , regarding your vacation, and exploring the island, since i have lived here almost all my life! You have all the space required for parking your car and even your boat if you have one with you. You can use the ground floor apartment and the big garden of the property . I live in Argostoli, a 15-minute drive from Dorizata , and I will be always available for information and advice, regarding the house and your holidays. I 'll be happy to help you explore the island by providing you with a good insight of Kefalonia as a native of the island. Dorizata is a small village, not more than 100 people live around us. Very quiet place, the neighbouring houses are only 3-4 with similar facilities like our house. You can enjoy a walk to the nearby villages of Pessada or Karavados with beautiful beaches, sunset and a small port in Pessada, where a small ship comes and goes twice a day during summertime to Zante. You will relax and enjoy quality time in this peaceful village. The house is next to the main road , which leads with a 15 minutes drive to the capital city of Argostoli. Minimum noise from this road , only for a few minutes , twice a day, during summertime, when the ship comes from Zante and the cars pass nearby....we are talking about 5 minutes of just a little noise. During all the other time of the day or night, almost total silence! You can just hear the birds, the wind, maybe some sheep from far away!! This place is ideal for families. Your children can play in the big garden and you can enjoy a bbq or a drink under the stars ! If you like quiet holidays...you will love this place!! FOR SUMMER SEASON 2021, WE ONLY ACCEPT CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE BEEN VACCINATED FOR COVID-19 DISEASE. YOU MUST SHOW YOUR VACCINATION CERTIFICATE BEFORE WE REACH AN AGREEMENT ABOUT THE RENTING OF THE APARTMENT. The apartment is cleaned thoroughly and sanitized before your arrival. Clean bed linen are provided ONLY ON YOUR ARRIVAL. (You will find also clean stuff, towels and bed linen for replacement). There is NO MAID SERVICE during your stay. NOBODY ENTERS YOUR APARTMENT DURING YOUR STAY. There are two other small houses in the plot, that sometimes host some other guests. So , sometimes you may be the only guests of the house and some other times, there may be guests on the first floor and/or in the small houses as well. During the day , the host or members of the family may visit the place and water the plants and flowers of the garden. Given that the house is in the countryside, you may hear the sounds of sheep, dogs, hens or birds. This is like it says a "country house". The guests must be very careful when they enter or exit the plot, because they enter a road of high traffic and fast speeds from other drivers. Booking your holidays in our house, gives you a perfect chance to enjoy the island without the risk of staying in a crowded place, hotel or rent-rooms complex. You will have a private apartment, no one other than your family members or the persons you share the holidays with, will touch your door, your rooms, your apartment. You can feel secure, safe and enjoy privacy with the best sanitary conditions.
