Or if you are the wandering adventurer, use our house as a base for exploring the southern Yorke Peninsula. Our house is located only few minutes from the famed Edithburgh jetty, boat ramp, tidal pool & beach. Plus you can easily walk to the cafe, store and hotel. Welcome to our modern & fresh holiday home in Edithburgh, South Australia. Edithburgh is a quiet country town located 2.5 hrs from Adelaide & offers fantastic fishing & diving opportunities. Other outdoor activities like swimming in the unique tidal pool or at Sultana Point beach, walking and riding on "Walk the Yorke", playing golf or enjoying the childrens' playground are all easily accessible. Our home is fully furnished and offers a master bedroom with attached ensuite, 2 standard bedrooms & a central bathroom with separate toilet. Edithbugh Shack is airconditioned, has open plan living/dining, TVand family board games. There is a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and laundry with a front loader washing machine. There is plenty of parking so bring your boat! We have fish cleaning facilities available for you as well. The newly renovated back deck provides gorgeous views of the countryside and is the perfect location to enjoy a glass of wine or a cold beer with uninterrupted views of the stunning sunset. Doonas and pillows are all supplied but we ask that due to CoVid 19 sanitary requirements, that you bring your own sheets, pillow cases, bath and hand towels please. At this stage, our property is not fully fenced, therefore we advise supervision for small children and we are unable to accommodate pets. We want you to feel at home and offer you great value for a perfectly relaxing getaway! The whole house is self contained and available for your use. The house and property is strictly smoke free and pet free. We are based in Adelaide but do employ a local cleaner and caretaker to ensure that you find the house at an acceptable standard. Edithburgh is a typical seaside country town where relaxation & fresh air surrounds you! Our front balcony faces onto the Edithburgh Golf Course and the balcony out the back has gorgeous views of the countryside. It is a 10 min stroll to the Town Centre where you will find the Cafe, local Pub and Deli with everyday supplies. Take the time to follow the fabulous mosaic trail to Sultana Point which is lined with more than 40 nautical themed mosaic rock art works, and forms part of the Walk the Yorke Trail. Sultana Point offers a beautiful sheltered beach with white sand & crystal clear water. Troubridge Island with its distinctive red and white lighthouse can be seen offshore. Take a drive down around Troubridge Hill for great scenic clifftop views. Visit the Troubridge Hill lighthouse, made from special wedge shaped clay bricks, built to replace the Troubridge Island lighthouse. On a clear day you can see Kangaroo Island across the water. A free viewing area of the Wattle Point Wind Farm is located on Sheoak Beach Road where you can view the wind farm close up. Walking or Ride your bike is the perfect mode of transportation, as nothing is too far away. Tourism spots such as the windmills and Troubridge Hill Lighthouse are all accessible by standard car (no 4wd req.) Linen Required: - Sheets (top & bottom) & pillow cases (Beds are 2 x queen, 1 x double, 1 x single) Bath towels, bath mat, hand towels Doona, quilt covers & pillows are provided. Dishcloth and tea towel are provided. The closest Hospital & grocery store is in Yorketown (10 km away). A Police Station is in Edithburgh itself (1 km).
