Bright & sunny inverted duplex apartment in the Historic Centre. 85 sq m with 1.5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living/dining room and kitchen. On the top floor is a sitting room which can convert to a 2nd bedroom,bathroom, & partial view of the Monastery.Below, is the living/dining room, kitchen, bathroom & main (Website hidden by Airbnb) provide a kitchen where you can cook if you want to! Paul loves cooking,so it is well equipped.The Monastery is 5 mins away,and the bars and restaurants less than 3 minutes. The apartment features original artwork by local artists, Amazon Firestick , a smart TV with access to Netflix and other entertainment including games. There is high speed Wi-Fi throughout. On the upper floor, there is a sitting room/bedroom with a double sofa-bed and an en suite bathroom, including a jaccuzzi shower. The main bedroom is on the lower floor, and the bathroom features a full sized bathtub and power shower. Both bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and drawers. The galley kitchen is furnished with modern appliances including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge freezer, kettle and toaster. It is fully equipped to cook meals if you don't want to visit the many bars and restaurants nearby. Guests are welcome to use any staples in the kitchen, including herbs and spices. The apartment is on the second floor of the building (there is an elevator), and there is a partial view of the Monastery from the top floor. From the living room, you have a view of some of the mountains that surround San Lorenzo. As this is our home, we would appreciate is if our guests could leave it as they found it. On leaving, please make sure all dishes have been washed, and take out the trash. Thank you. The whole apartment, apart from one small storage room where we keep personal belongings. Situated right in the heart of the historic center of San Lorenzo, where a 3 minute walk will take you to the main square with many bars and restaurants. The Monastery is 5 minutes away.The street is generally very quiet, and an ideal base to explore the Monastery and the beautiful countryside around. There are several unique shops (opening hours generally are from 9 am - 2 pm, and from 5 pm - 10 pm). The local covered market is practically opposite the apartment, and features fresh produce such as fish, meat, vegetables, fruit, cheese, bread etc. Close to the bus station is a reasonably sized SuperSol Supermarket which is open all day to 10 pm. There is currently no parking on the premises, however you can park on the street (both paid and free), or in the public car park under the main square (24 hour access), which is about 3 minutes walk. The bus station is a 8 - 10 minute walk from the apartment, and you can get a bus to Madrid and many other places. There is a local bus (L1) that goes to and from the train station to the bus station (current cost 1.30 euros), and another (L4) which takes you to a retail park with larger supermarkets. The train station is a half hour downhill walk through the Monastery park which is beautiful. The trains to Madrid run hourly, and it takes just over 1 hour to go to Sol Station, just a short walk from the Grand Via in the center of Madrid. There are also usually taxis, both at the train station and at the end of Calle Floribunda. A taxi to or from the station usually costs under 7 Euros.
