Parchment st is an enchanting street made up of independent shops, cafés, a fantastic yoga studio, a Michelin star Japanese restaurant, a great wine shop and beautiful residential homes. Just seconds from the buzzy high st which sees a market every thurs, fri, sat and sun ranging from farmers market, arts & crafts, vintage and fashion. Winchester café culture is the best, equally great for cocktails and dinner - we're also spoilt with many quirky unique places too. If getting outside is your thing, there's an abundance of idyllic countryside and chalk stream river meadows within a 10 minute walk of the house and we're a stone's throw away from the South Downs National Park. Like everything, there's a downside! Winchester's only nightclub is at the bottom of the garden; their outdoor space to be precise. So you might hear voices, and a distant beat. We and atleast 40 other properties surround it so therefore the noise levels aren't too bad as they have to respect council rules. However, it can be a little noisy on Friday, Saturday and Tuesday nights during university term dates. All house windows are double layered sash which effectively keep out the noise and the top floor room is the quietest. Everywhere in Winchester is walkable! That's the beauty of it. Bring your bike or car, or get a taxi if you want to go further afield. The archway through to the house is quite tight.
