Both are on a stunning stretch of the coast path and in easy reach of some of North Devon's well known surfing beaches. It is also on the edge of the wild moorland landscape of Exmoor. It is easy to walk to Hele or Ilfracombe. There are car parks in Ilfracombe. The bus service is regular - including Barnstaple rail station, Combe Martin, Woolacombe, etc.
