Dahon Bungalow in Batu Karas

The bungalow is build in the traditional Javanese style which keeps the inside cool during the day. The thached roof is made by local workers from palm trees that grow along the river banks. From the terrace of the bungalow you have a beautiful view on the Green Canyon River. Explore the river by yourself with our kayaks. Our place is in walking distance to the main surf spot of Batu Karas (1 km). The beautiful view on the Green Canyon river that you can enjoy from anywhere at our place is also our most precious asset and we hope that it stays always like this. We love to cool down by a quick jump in the river as much as we enjoy the light breeze that its vast surface always brings us. For us it's just the ideal place to relax especially if the beach gets more busy. Work on your computer, meet other people, or just simply enjoy the view on the river from our cozy sitting area. It's shaded and there always that nice cool brezze from the river. Our four bungalows have access to the garden, facing the river. You will find in it the "bale", traditional style sitting area, where breakfast will be served, and coffee and tea will be provided for free. Our two kayaks are free to use for our airbnb guests. I will be happy to inform you about all the different beautiful spots you can explore in the area: one of the best surf spot for learners, the famous Green Canyon are both at 5mn from our place. But many other nice places are waiting for you (Green Valley, Wonder Hill, Pepedan Hill, Madasari Beach, Batu Hiu...) Batu Karas is a laid back small fishing village, where you will spend relaxing days, with all facilities (restaurants, ATM, supermarket), interrupted by plenty of outdoor activities if you wish (surfing, body rafting, hiking, or motorcycle riding in the beautiful surroundings) Villa Dahon is located in Batu Karas village, on the riverside., nearby the famous holiday destination Pangandaran (25 km) The airport Nusa Wiru at 15 mn from our place, has a daily flight to Jakarta, with Susi Air for, approximatily, 900 000 IDR. We will be glad to arrange a pick up service at the airport. (Standard fee 100 000 IDR) For other transport options, just contact us. We will be happy to help you. Getting around Batu Karas: We will be happy to arrange scooter/motor bike rental at the current rate of 50 000 IDR/day. Public transport: Arriving from the international terminal at Jakarta airport turn left to reach the bus terminal and take the DAMRI bus to Rambutan bus station in Jakarta. From there direct overland busses run to Pangandaran, appr. 45 min from Batu Karas. In Pangandaran bord one of the many mini busses that take you to Cijulang. From Cijulang bus station a motorbike taxi brings you to our place. There are other options but this is the most common way to travel. Private car: We can send you a comfortable mini bus with AC that picks you up anytime from the airport, at Jakarta. That might be your best option especially when you arrive at night time. And it's not that expensive. Please contact us for the current rate. Airplane: Susi Air flys once per day from Halim airport Jakarta to Nusawiru airport, which is just 15 min. from our place.
