Melati Double Studio with Shady Balcony (upstairs)

It is a modern design building using recycle teak wood and bamboo ceiling, located in a historical area of Yogyakarta city. Our property is surrounded by local plants and garden, which add authenticity to your tropical journey. Ours is located only 10 minutes to the train station, 10 minutes to popular destinations (Keraton/Palace, close to traditional market Beringharjo, and famous promenade Malioboro), and less than 30 minutes to/from the airport. Hot shower and electric fan are provided. When you are looking for a place to stay in Yogyakarta located in the city but you do not feel you are in the busy city life,with a kampung atmosphere yet surounded by greenery and close to the local cafes and restaurants. Omah Permadi is the place for you. It is newly built, by considering modern, artistic, as well as traditional style. The ceiling is made of bamboo, the wall is a combination of exposed bricks and recycle teakwood, and all the doors and windows are made from recycled doors/windows. The cottage is surrounded by local flowers, fruits and trees to give a you cooling atmosphere. This room is located on the second floor of the 2nd cottage of Permadi Guesthouse (we name it Melati cottage). It has its own entrance, facilities for 2 people (double bed), ensuite bathroom, kitchenette, and shady balcony. We also provide a refrigerator in the room, and you can find simple cooking utensils in the kitchenette. If you like to taste the local food, local restaurants and cafes can be reached within a short walking distance. And, of course, wifi is available and it's free. If you need to hire a car to visit Borobudur and Mendut Budhist Temples or Prambanan Hindu Temple, you simply let us know and we can arrange the car and the driver for you. For shorter travel, online taxi can be ordered through app in your mobile at very reasonable rates. Our guests will have the keys to access the bedroom. The guests can use any kitchen facilities provided. They can also park their car on the parking lots inside this compound. I live outside of the city. But my co-hosts, Maryam and her husband Uzair, will be happy to help you in person. If you need anything, please feel free to let them know. Our neighbourhood has a long history with the development of Yogyakarta Sultanate. Ours is called Nyutran, to refer to the brigade of Nyutra, which originally came from Madura island in the early years of the Sultanate. Close to our neighbourhood, you will easily find international as well as local eateries, convenient stores (Indomaret), batik shop (Yudistira), or ATM. It is fast and easy to use online motorcycle ride, like Gojek, Grab or Uber. They have online car booking app too. However, with the app only limits to travel less than 35 km, you will need to book car rentals if you want to go further. We would be more than happy to help with this. Another option is to rent a motorcycle. We offer motorbike rental service for IDR 75,000/day (include two helmets and raincoat/poncho). Another option for transportation is becak (local rickshaw or tuktuk). We have our neighbor offering service to take you touring the city centre. Feel free to let us know if you want to take this service. Quiet time is between 9pm-7am. We would appreciate if you turn down any noise between these times. No party is allowed in this compound. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the room (only allowed outside the cottage).
