'The Residence' at Mount Ophir Estate

A stylish country residence located on the doorstep of one of the regions most iconic and architecturally significant buildings, Mount Ophir Estate. The original residence of the estate accommodates ten people in five bedrooms, a spacious country kitchen, dining room for ten and a large living area. The beautiful wooden veranda wraps around the house which is the perfect setting for evening drinks. All rooms are stylishly decorated with comfort and relaxation in mind. There is easy access into the house without using stairs. Parking is directly adjacent to the house with enough parking for six cars. Luxurious queen beds throughout and four bedrooms have ensuites. The whole house is fully ducted for heating and cooling in addition to a gas fire place. There are private outdoor areas for the Residence but the rest of the gardens are shared with other guests. You enjoy access to the whole property and tours can be arranged throughout the historic winery. Minimal interaction but here if needed. Very secluded and quiet, but five minutes drive to Rutherglen, twelve minutes to Corowa. Albury airport is 40 minutes, Chiltern train station is 10 minutes. We have a fabulous wine bar and restaurant 'Thousand Pound' in Rutherglen. A one hat restaurant 'The Terrace' at All Saints Estate. Twenty-two wineries within 30-minute drive. If you are a keen cyclist there are fantastic tracks and rail trails around the area. By car, mountain/road bike or taxi. You can also hire a wine tour limo or vintage car, contact the Rutherglen Information Centre for more details. Rutherglen Corowa Taxi service is available for pick up and drop off's they also have maxi cabs for your guests. We are a working farm so we ask politely for you to leave minimal waste. There is security on all gates and we ask that you please keep all external gates closed and locked.
