Our spacious, first floor, two bedroom apartment is located in the heart of Churchtown village, which is beautifully quaint and bursting with history. The apartment is two bedroomed and is situated above our fantastic coffee house right on the village main road with access to lots of independent shops, bars and restaurants. It is a short walk to Botanic Gardens and Meols Hall, a popular wedding venue, amongst other local amenities. Churchtown is only 2 miles from Southport Town Centre Our apartment is a perfectly situated place to stay for up to 5 guests (+ 1 baby) for those wishing to be conveniently located in the village with easy access to both Southport and Birkdale. The apartment is two bedroomed with a kitchen, lounge and brand newly refurbished bathroom and private access to the side of our coffee house. There are stairs up to the accommodation as it is on the first floor. The main bedroom can be arranged for two single beds or one super kingsize bed if requested (please let us know in advance how you would like them arranged). The second bedroom has one double and one single bed and both rooms have sufficient space for a travel cot if required (also available). All beds are dressed with crisp, white Egyptian cotton linen and both bedrooms have dressing tables with magnifying mirrors and make up lights conveniently located close to sockets. Hairdryers are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster and Nespresso machine and complementary coffee pods. During opening hours, you will have special residents offers to enjoy in Remedy downstairs and the coffee is hailed as the best in Southport. You can enjoy home-cooked food from breakfast to lunch and during the evening at weekends if cooking is not part of your plan. The lounge has a Smart TV, a blue tooth speaker, a 2 seater sofa, 2 accent chairs and a window bench. There is also a dining table to seat 4 and a selection of games and books. In the brand new bathroom you will find a walk in shower and sink vanity unit, a provision of towels, Shampoo, Conditioner and Shower Gel. An emergency basket with a small selection of essential items you may have forgotten. Additional items available to you include and iron and ironing board, wine cooler, ice is available during opening hours from Remedy Churchtown. The kitchen will be stocked with tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper and washing up liquid. The heating is gas central heating with a radiator in every room. There is a carbon monoxide alarm and two smoke alarms. Appropriate fire extinguishers and a first aid kit. The apartment is situated above a very respectful coffee house and licensed bar. We have amazing coffee and homemade cakes, a full gin menu and stocked bar. We play some fairly unobtrusive music during the day and night. We open at 9am, close at 5pm on Monday-Wednesday and are open until 10pm or 11:30pm on the remaining days. Thursday night is Quiz Night and you may hear the quiz master as he uses a microphone, but as our guests you are lucky enough to receive free entry to the quiz. Quiz night finishes at approximately 10pm. Susannah runs the property along with her two premises, Remedy Churchtown and Remedy (located on Lord St in Southport). She lives close by and can be contacted. You will also have access to the staff in Remedy Churchtown during opening hours if you have any questions. Churchtown is a beautiful old village which dates back to the Doomsday book. It is lined with pretty thatched cottages and is a designated conservation area. We are lucky enough to have lots going on. Plenty of independent shops, bars and restaurants. There are two pubs within 2 mins walk and Botanic Gardens is approximately a 4 min walk. Meols Hall is just across the road which is perfect for wedding guests and we are also closely located to a large number of golf courses including Royal Birkdale, Old Links Golf Club, Hesketh Golf Club and Hillside Golf Club to name a few. Southport, Birkdale, Ainsdale and Formby are easily accessed from Churchtown by bus and taxis are easily acquired and extremely reasonably priced. There is a bus stop on the main road which will take you to Southport, Ainsdale and Formby. Southport Train Station is 2 miles away where you can find buses and train to Preston, Wigan, Liverpool and Manchester.
