As the breeze gently greets you from the nearby Pamlico Sound and view of the beautiful Neuse River, you can relax and watch the sailboats as they make their way to & from the Oriental NC harbor and the beautiful, quaint village that awaits you there. The serenity, love of sailing and the unique solitude seems to greet each visitor like a love letter from one’s true inner peacefulness. Casual dining, art gallery, boutiques and a romantic marina awaits you within a block of our home. Welcome home to the ''Bridge House''! A spectacular location and landmark in Old Oriental with glimpses of beautiful river views and an abundance of charm. A perfect re-imagining of a modern coastal cottage, replete with features such as extensive wood flooring, wood kitchen counters, and sunny, open living spaces...All focused on the expansive 2-story front porch! As a natural extension of the living areas, each 8' x 27'6''covered porch affords delightful river breezes and the ideal spot to greet friends. A gracious entry to the front door begins with a Charlestonian garden gate and proceeds along an elevated walk to the downstairs porch. Both the upstairs and downstairs offer private spaces with separate baths ; yet, join by an open, inviting side staircase. Beautiful village setting with water views, sailing, kayaking, fishing and quaint walks though the friendly town of Oriental, the sailing capital of the state. Featured in Our State magazine the village is friendly with offerings of porch music events, a Saturday farmers’ market, holiday gatherings and the calm and peacefulness you need to recharge your often plugged in mind. We have setup our home to feel like your personal coastal retreat with lots of outdoor seating, a casual kitchen bar great for wine and food entertaining, while each room allows for privacy when needed. Launch a kayaks form the Oriental harbor or stroll the quiet streets of Oriental and get to know our welcoming village. The entire home is welcoming for use and enjoyment and just a short walk across the street you’ll enjoy some casual dining, fresh seafood, art and really nice boutiques. The great part about our home is it’s virtually two separate living areas with separate full baths, bedrooms and separate living room areas per level, so there is lots of privacy on each level, plus each level has an outside deck for sitting. We are available by phone or text with any questions. The coffee bean is a great way to start your morning with a view of the harbor. This quaint waterfront coffee house features fresh brewed coffees, teas and light pastries and sits beside a beautiful art gallery featuring local and state artists. We have several waterview parks and boutiques which are just steps away from our door. There are several local marinas that tell stories of pier-walking marriage proposals, first kisses and even weddings . To say our villiage and people are warm and friendly is an understatement, as this place and all who walk these streets seem to transform themselves to a place of complete peace and magical love of a simple breath. The beauty you’ll find with each step will make you want to visit often and never want to leave, so unplug, breath, dine, slow down and welcome to the villiage of Oriental. Everything is within easy walking distance or you can enjoy a quaint bicycle ride on one of our supplied bikes. Driving is slower paced and can be used to visit nearby New Bern North Carolina, River Dunes or take the car ferry over to the Beaufort and Morehead City areas. Boating invites visits to Cedar Island and Ocracoke NC. This is a family oriented villiage with love of sailing, conversation and the love of meeting new people. Welcome to the village.
