The Boat House, Pennan

The Boat House, situated in the tiny village of Pennan made famous by the movie Local Hero, is a converted boat shed over looking the stunning bay. The house is perfect for a family summer holiday or a romantic getaway. The beach is only meters away from the front door. This two bedroom family home is bright and spacious, with an open plan layout downstairs, flooded with light from the huge living room windows looking right onto the beach. The house is full of character with lots of artwork, books and plenty of games and kids toys for you to use. The TV also has Netflix and other streaming services. The kitchen Rayburn keeps the house warm and cosy all year round. There is also an electric induction hob, dishwasher and washing machine. The master bedroom is large and bright, with a large sea facing window providing stunning views. The twin bedroom has two single beds and is also very spacious. The upstairs bathroom has a bath and shower. There is also a spare bedroom downstairs, however we currently use this for storage. We have a table and bench on the bank head right in front of the house, which catches the morning sun and is the best place for breakfast or a nice glass of wine. Out the back door from the kitchen is a more sheltered, private garden nestled under the plant covered cliffs, with outdoor seating and is a perfect place for a bbq. There is only one (steep!) road in and out of the village, which is well signposted. You can park on the street next to the house or in the village car park next to the red village hall. Single row of fisherman cottages There is so much fun things to do without even leaving the village! Pier jumping, swimming, lots of walks up the cliffs and round the rocks to neighboring bays, and walks to the harbor for treats from Coastal Cuppie! More details provided in the guestbook.
