Briarwoode Farm Getaway

A cozy, convenient and peaceful spot on a working farm. This is a small apartment above separate garage with private entrance. Perfectly situated 5 minutes to Comfort, 25 to Kerrville, 25 to Fredericksburg & 20 to Boerne: Great for taking advantage of all the dining, shopping and attractions in the hill country. Also an especially good location for biciclists & motorcyclists. One small house-trained dog that remains leashed while outdoors is welcome. Our apartment is above the garage, accessed by a flight of outside stairs. The full kitchen (oven, stove, microwave and refrigerator), is stocked with a few staples, as well as pots, pans, and tableware, so you can reduce your traveling expenses a bit by bringing along some food to prepare. The space is flexible with one queen sized bed and a pull out couch bed. You'll have full access to the apartment, and a small yard with some outdoor seating behind the garage. If we are home and you'd like to meet some of our animals, we are more than happy to introduce you! We are happy to provide directions or recommendations to places in the area. If we are not at home, please don't hesitate to message us in the app or give us a call. We are out in the country, but just a short distance into Comfort, 15 miles to Sisterdale, 25 miles to Kerrville, 25 miles to Fredericksburg, 20 miles to Boerne and 45 minutes to mall shopping in San Antonio. Historic Comfort is beautiful and has many antique shops. Fredericksburg's dining, shopping and Highway 290 wineries are becoming very well known. Kerrville and Boerne are charming as well with plenty of unique places to shop and eat. With many scenic country roads, the area is also perfect for biciclists and motorcyclists. There are several annual festivals in the area specifically geared for these communities. Please park in the car port on the right side of the garage. (If there is a vehicle in it, just pull up to it as far as you are able; there is room for two.) If you have an extra large vehicle, a trailer, or more than one vehicle, please coordinate with us ahead of time. This is a working farm, and so please expect the occasional barking dog, meowing cat, crowing rooster, gobbling turkey, neighing horse, mooing cow or baa-ing sheep! If you bring a dog, it must remain leashes while outdoors.
