Modern stone lodge on the grounds of Oranmore Castle with superb panoramic views of Galway Bay. If you are seeking a relaxing space with incredible views of the ocean and shoreline this is the house for you. Just perfect for sitting back with a glass of wine and watching the sun set over Galway bay. The living room is open-plan, glass-fronted on the top floor. There are 4 bedrooms. 1 double, 1 king and 2 single rooms (sleeps 6) and all are en-suite with shower. The house is newly built in a contemporary style that showcases its incredible location overlooking Galway bay. Modern, well insulated and warm. You have access to the sea shore for walks ( just a 1 minute walk) We will be here to greet guests once we know your arrival time and can welcome you and explain all you need to know about the house and area. It is a 5 minute walk to Oranmore village with all its amenities, including cafes, restaurants and pubs playing traditional music. There are several large supermarkets within walking distance also. Oranmore village is 5 miles from Galway City famous for its many festivals / The Galway Arts Festival, Cuirt Writer’s Festival and the Galway Races. The M6 motorway connecting Dublin is just a 10 mins drive away. Oranmore is well serviced by train, bus & taxi. Just ask for more details. Oranmore is equidistant to Connemara and the Burren for scenic explorations. Oranmore Castle is a 15th century Norman keep, restored in 1947 by writer Anita Leslie. It was visited by Sir Shane Leslie friend of W.B. Yeats and Oliver St.John Gogarty, and by sculptress Clare Sheridan, cousin to Winston Churchill.
