Relax! 🍁Peace and love naturally await This magical original Gypsy bow top caravan is situated in a half acre, fully fenced and gated garden which is private for your sole use. 🦇 Over looking a wooded valley, with fabulous countryside views. You can leave the front doors open and enjoy stargazing watching the moon rise and fall over the trees, see the bats swooping overhead and hear the owls over the babbling brook! 🦉 Charming and quirky Mabel's offers a true taste of days gone by and an escape to nature! Return to a simpler life... She is an original wagon; whilst retaining her olde worldly charm she now has electricity and a few creature comforts! We have completely stripped and recovered her roof, and made the bench seat wider with a thick comfy cushion. We have renovated some antique doors so instead of an enclosed canvas front with zip it will be much easier to get in and out via doors! With high windows for starry/moon views. 🛌She has a super comfy double memory foam mattress, pure wool mattress topper and baavet wool duvet with merino wool pillows on an elevated bed. Set within the grounds of a beautiful watermill restoration project which is nestled in a wooded valley in the heart of Pembrokeshire. Whilst being in the midst of things, we are remote and a car is preferable! Nearest shop 3 miles away. 🔥Once you are inside, the wood burning stove keeps you warm and toasty. Firewood is free for your first night, additional fire wood is available at 75p per kilo or £2.00 for a self lighting firelog. Let us know your eta and it will be lit before arrival! Tech free; no tv, no gadgets just the peace of the great outdoors! Small reading lamp and ambient fairy lights. No wifi but if you bring your own dongle you can get it! 🍕Right outside is a covered and well-equipped cooking area with a bellisimo pizza oven (24hrs notice required for dough at the ready!) This has also been enlarged and renovated for winter. You need to bring at least two bags of easy light lumpwood charcoal and wood with firelighters for the pizza oven; which needs lighting two hours before you cook on it! Please do not use coal or any lighting fluids. The kitchen has a four ring gas hob; you can wash up in the belfast sink, whilst watching bird life through window; chill your wine in full size fridge, microwave, toaster, table & chairs; fine bone china, cutlery, glasses and plastic "glasses" for hot tub use. 🥚🥞Nothing beats an outdoor breakfast, you can cook your own golden eggs for breakfast from our kind, friendly and free range chickens! 🏊‍♀️A bubbling and refreshing hot tub is also available for private use; we will endeavour to get this upto temperature before your arrival but please kindly understand we empty, deep clean and refill it between each guest stay! 🚿It has an adjacent hot indoor/outdoor shower; and a new 🚽 flushing toilet shed located right next to Mabel for your sole use and enjoyment! Due to noise (jets; etc) the hot tub is turned off late at night but is still hot until morning! (The added £50 cleaning fee is for hot tub to be emptied, cleaned, and refilled between every guest stay.) We kindly ask for your help and kind consideration to leave no trace. Please re cycle, please do have respect for the natural surroundings 🙏 A good variety of books and games available. We are situated only one mile away from Folly farm, and close to many other attractions, within walking distance of Pembrokeshire's famous coastal path, the Knights way and landsker borderlands walks. The famous Preselli mountains are nearby, with many beautiful beaches within easy reach; Tenby 5 miles, Saundersfoot 3 miles, boutique shopping and dining in the town of Narberth 2 miles. We will be only to happy to help and advise with any queries you may have; and have a wealth knowledge on hidden gems; local eateries and takeaways, farm shops, and magical castles off the beaten track... 🥩Meat hampers can be pre ordered from 🥓Andrew Rees butchers and 🧀 Caws Cenarth cheese hampers are all highly recommended and will all deliver... please check and order direct with butchers etc on line as Air bnb hide website information! Do as much or as little as you like! Think seclusion, privacy, a time to chill out, deep relaxation, or explore our local Pembrokeshire countryside and beaches. ⏰ We have a strict no noise after 10pm until 8am for the consideration of wildlife. 🎧 We kindly ask you to not play music etc at any time; please bring headphones. 🐶Please let us know if you are bringing a dog... we have completely separate furnishings bedding, carpets for dogs and those without (who may suffer allergies ) We do not provide wool bedding or rugs for dog guests sorry. 🐕🐕‍🦺Whilst dogs (2 maximum) are welcome they must be up to date with Frontline or similar please and there is an extra charge of £10 per dog per night which is payable on arrival please. Medium and large dogs cannot be accommodated in Mabels sorry; so will need their own beds/crates to sleep outside. Small dogs may sleep under the bed! Guests have full access to a car parking area, a short walk away from a fully fenced and gated garden surrounding Mabel’s. This is set in four acres of beautiful countryside; a labour of love; still work on going on the mill so not accessible yet sorry. Dogs must be closely supervised and on leads at all times outside of your private gardens... There are numerous walks from Melin, maps and advice freely given! We look forward to welcoming you and showing you around our beautiful site; keeping a safe distance is important at this time and you are guaranteed super self isolation. If you want privacy for romancing; healing, etc you won't even know we are here! We are in a private location with only one immediate neighbour yet only just off the A478. There are beautiful adjacent walks and our lane is quiet for cycling, roller skating, etc. *Folly farm is only a mile away and offers plenty to do whatever age you are! *Bluestone offers an indoor pool with wave machine and slides for all ages! * Dinosaur park and Heatherton. *Carew karting and Sunday morning car booty is worth an early start! *Coasteering the blue lagoon great whatever the season or weather. More beaches and castles than you can shake a stick at! Our favourites; On our door step: Amroth; quiet, flat for wheelchair ease of access, Pirates cafe 5* dog friendly beach and cafe Saundersfoot beach; all dog friendly; walk via Wisemans bridge through old railway tunnels along beach or cliff top; Coast highly recommended fine dining and best booked in advance for lunch or dinner. Tenby; North beach and South beach; beach box offers the very best bacon rolls (or if you're veggie go for halloumi, huge mushroom and avocado!) not to mention superb coffees! *Caldey Island boat trips end after half term; worth the trip, beautiful and peaceful and the monks make amazing chocolate!! Barafundle bay via Bosheston lily ponds call at Ye olde Worlde tea shop for amazing cream tea or Stackpole walled gardens. Freshwater East offers superb surfing and the very best seafood from Cafe Mor (best lobster rolls ever!!) Favourite food from Plum Vanilla Narberth; meat, vegan and vegetarian options. Juices, coffees, cakes... heavenly!! Grove and St Brides hotel for the very best afternoon tea, lunches or fine dining, Marias at Picton Castle; Spanish food by the mother of Andalucia... I could live here!! Cycling and walking trails are plentiful. Please bring hot tub and beach towels; all other linen and shower towels and bath mat provided. Cats, chickens and bees live contentedly free range on site! Sheep, cows and pigs live in surrounding fields which is why dogs must be on leads outside of your paddock. Our lovely neighbours have a very friendly with humans spaniel, but she doesn't like all dogs sorry! Owls, bats and badgers may be heard if not seen... some evenings are more screechy than others!! Sometimes if the wind blows a certain direction you may hear an hourly passing two carriage train or some distant road traffic noise. In reality, you may hear nothing at all, but peace and super quiet!!
