Charming home in little Switzerland

Our little piece of New Glarus history is now your home away from home! With room to sleep 6, come with a group and save some money versus hotel options. Get extra comfortable in our clean and cozy three bedroom two bathroom charmer! Bonus- We are only 2 blocks from downtown! Close enough to walk, yet far enough to get away from the chaos of summer festivals. We are also only blocks from the Sugar River Trail, and the snowmobiling trail. We remodeled this historic home in 2018, just for you! We carefully tried to maintain the charm from the homes original character while bringing it up to modern standards so that it feels simultaneously old and new. The bedrooms are located on the second story, and the original stairs are a bit steep; there is a full bath on the first story in case someone in your party has mobility issues. You have access to a secure attached single-car garage for storing bikes, motorcycles or a small trailer hauling a snowmobile. We keep it mostly empty so that you can park your small or midsized vehicle inside during the winter. With two full bathrooms, there is no need to wait in line for showers. There is a full-sized washer and dryer in the first floor bathroom in case you need to do a little laundry while you are visiting. The spacious kitchen is perfect for cooking a meal at home should you feel like staying in. We are a message away for emergencies or recommendations, otherwise we will steer clear of your vacation. You are only blocks from downtown which has many shops and restaurants that are easy to walk to. The Sugar River trail is also only steps away. The New Glarus Woods and the famous New Glarus Brewery are a short drive away. When coming up for the weekend consider coming Friday and leaving Sunday; much of town is closed Sunday and Monday. Not much access to ride sharing or public transportation but walking to anywhere in town is easy. There is public parking located on Railroad St., also plenty of street parking in town. Due to the COVID19 pandemic we are undertaking extra cleaning protocols and have increased days between bookings to keep our guests safe. If you are visiting us between November and April please be aware that New Glarus has calendar parking during those months.
