Two bedroom self-catering cottages set in 7 acres of grounds overlooking a mill pond. Very spacious & comfortable with open-plan lounge, kitchen area and decking by the pond, all set next to a very attractive 18th century water mill. The property itself is in un-spoilt Somerset countryside on the edge of Ham Hill country park with its lovely walks, and views. On the edge of a lovely village with a great shop, cafe & gorgeous pub serving locally sourced food and drink. Converted from old barns and next to an 18th century watermill (that still works). Indeed, there has been a mill on the site since Domesday! Lovely views over the millpond with generous open-plan lounge and kitchen. Guests have access to all the grounds including the stunning gardens and fields. They can even look around the 18th century mill and ask to see it in operation! There are lots of activities in the local area including: National Trust and other historic properties; extensive walking trails; nature reserves; public gardens and various museums. There are also some lovely villages and market towns to explore. All guests also have access to our 7 acres of gardens and grounds. There are over 100 detailed leaflets in the accommodation, however, if you have any specific interests or questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. If this is your first time to the area, we particularly recommend trips to some of the following: Montacute, Barrington Court, Forde Abbey, Sherborne Castle, Wells Cathedral and Stourhead. The coast at Lyme Regis is also only 35 minutes away, There is ample off-street parking available.
