Idyllic barn retreat in stunning SW France

Luxury Barn Conversion "Le Clone" comprises of two farm houses set amongst vineyards and fields. Very secluded space where you can relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of this beautiful region of SW France. Great for cosy winter breaks and not just the summer holidays! Self-contained on the 1st floor with private access, parking and private swimming pool 1/5 - 1/10. Equipped Kitchen and Utility Room. Includes bed linen, bathroom towels etc, tea/coffee, honesty bar, coffee machine & pods. The barn is a large space equipped for two people (one double bed). It is not really suitable for children or people with disabilities (although we also have a ground floor ensuite bedroom available). As much as possible has been hand-crafted using local materials and methods as well as containing all the "mod-cons" such as Fridge-Freezer, Dishwasher, Oven & Hob, Sink, Microwave, Kettle, Washing Machine & Utility Room The quality kitchen is fully equipped and will suit any "foodies" who would like to try their hand at creating dishes with the excellent local produce! You will have sole private access to the Barn (living room, utility room, kitchen/dining, bedroom, bathroom, swimming pool and garden. Normally Sheena and/or Steve will be here to welcome you. But we also have a key-code entry system for guests arriving when we are not around. We are always happy to help with recommendations for days-out, walks, restaurants etc and can help with making reservations. We are within 1 hour of the chic Bordeaux city, historical Cognac and art-deco Royan seaside resort. There are several nice towns and markets around and if you like wine then we are in the middle of it all; Medoc, St Emillion, St Estephe you name it! Although we prefer the excellent Charentais wines and can introduce you to our favourites! We are surrounded by fields; it is very peaceful, you will need your own transport for shopping and for days out in this lovely region. There is no local public transport but some fantastic walks and cycle rides to be had.
