Pantyscallog Coach House

Beautiful Coach House attached to a rural Victorian/Georgian Country House, set within stunning countryside in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. It is accessed up a flight of granary steps onto a beautiful balcony with seating, views stretching towards the Brecon Beacons, walled kitchen garden and beyond, 2 miles of fishing up/down the Usk/Crai. A delightful hideaway gem not to be missed. It's perfect for cyclists, walkers, Fisher men, couples, families and singletons The Coach House is light, spacious (the photos do not quite capture the spacious feel) and very well decorated throughout, to give you the instant home from home feel. It is all on one level bar a small step leading down from the living/dining area towards the main bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. It provides ample seating within the living area a flat screen tv and PlayStation for you to watch dvd's and relax or have a game or two if you fancy. You can look out towards the balcony and beyond, while cosy reading or just relaxing. The dining area seats 4 very comfortably and is beautifully decorated with a large floor to ceiling bookcase. The single bedroom is very comfortable and perfectly decorated with a single bed and under storage, a wardrobe, chest of draws and bedside table. The main bedroom has a king size bed which is very comfortable with under storage units and two wardrobes a chest of draws and two bed side tables and a hairdryer. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, instant hot water kettle, cooker, microwave and fridge (freezer compartment) various cooking utilities and gadgets to cook the perfect meal on those cosy days/nights in. The bathroom has a sink, mirror over, bath tub with shower over and toilet. A small unit for your essentials and a bin. There is an iron/iron board, vacuum cleaner (should you feel the need) and sewing kit within the Coach House, in the store room. There is a storage room, which has ample of space to leave suitcases, shoes, wellies, bikes, Pram etc There is a garden with a path leading you up to the Coach House. You can relax on the lawn or have a BBQ and relax. There are 2 miles of fishing up and down the river Usk and Crai, bookings through us direct or via the Wye and Usk. We are always here for help if you require guidance with anything. We are next door in the main House and you can contact us via the mobile number or simply just come over to the main house and ring the bell on the porch for attention. This place is just breathtaking it has stunning views, from the balcony and beyond. The Coach House is set in peaceful surroundings and an ambiance that pictures do not quite give it justice! Pantyscallog Coach House is adjacent to Pantyscallog House yet very private. This beautiful place is an absolute gem in the beautiful Brecon Beacons and though you require transport to get here, it is not far from Sennybridge, Trecastle or Defynnog which all have a pub and delicious pub food/drinks or local specialities, from beers, to ales, to wines, just take your pick. You can walk, cycle or fish directly from this place without having to drive anywhere if you wish to choose. There are loads of beautiful walks and cycle areas within the Brecon Beacons the choice is yours. This property is rural and access to and from it is best by car. Once here, you can get around by bike or on foot, though this depends on your preference or level of fitness. There are two garages with a shop and post office within Sennybridge (just over 1mile from the Coach House) for your immediate needs and several pubs for lunch and evening food to choose from. Defynnog has the gorgeous Welsh Rarebit centre serving beautiful Welsh rarebit and cakes. Within the centre are a few local products for sale and an exhibition of art by local artists above. This place is a must! Defynnog also has the oldest yew tree in Europe! However if you want to do a larger shop, Llandovery or Brecon are not far (12miles) offering several shops from supermarkets to small local shops. There is a taxi company in the village and details are in the Coach House should you do not wish to drive. There is also a bus service available from Sennybridge which goes to several locations, please check for availability and destinations. We have free range chickens and ducks. There are fresh eggs most of the days available to purchase from us if you wish. There are also 2 small dogs on site, horses and sheep or cattle grazing adjacent to the fields which at times can be enjoyed from the balcony. Please use recycle bins (bins under the balcony) and separate your rubbish accordingly so the Council will take it away. There is a small composting bin under the sink.
