19 Barend, 3 Bedroom Lodge - Swimming Pool & Pub

Lodge 19 is one of our beautiful Scandinavian wood lodges where you can enjoy Galloway's famous dark skies and abundant wildlife from the comfort of your own balcony, whilst also being located close to the picturesque beach at Sandyhills on the Solway Coast in Dumfries and Galloway. All of our Barend Holiday Lodges guests can enjoy our indoor heated swimming pool and sauna, as well as a free 9-hole round of golf at our great local par 3 Craigieknowes golf course. Lodge 19 benefits from a modern, fully fitted kitchen, an additional seating area in the upstairs open plan bedroom and an additional shower cubicle in the upstairs double bedroom. This lodge has also recently benefitted from an upgraded downstairs bathroom which now has a walk in shower. Lodge 19 in more detail… GROUND FLOOR Living & Dining Area The large and comfortable living and dining area is fully equipped for 6 people with a dining table and sofas, Freeview TV and DVD player. Kitchen A well-equipped kitchen with a gas hob and electric oven, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster & Dolce Gusto coffee machine. A separate large fridge-freezer is stored in the hallway cupboard for your convenience. A full range of cooking utensils, crockery, glassware and cutlery is provided. For special occasions, high quality Denby crockery and glassware are available from Reception upon request. Double Bedroom One of the two double bedrooms is on the ground floor. Bathroom Newly fitted bathroom with walk-in shower. A baby bath can be hired free of charge for those with infants. Balcony A large balcony with furniture is accessed through doors in the living area and gives a view of the lodges and loch. FIRST FLOOR Double Bedroom A double bed with ensuite toilet, shower and wash basin. This bedroom is accessed via the third bedroom. Third Bedroom A large room with 2 single beds and seating area with Freeview TV & DVD, with patio doors leading to the balcony giving views of the lodges and Barend Loch. OUTSIDE There is parking for two vehicles directly outside the lodge. All are set in stunning surroundings making for a wonderful relaxing or active holiday. The beach is a 5-10 minute walk away. The Solway Coast is a beautiful coastline, with quaint villages, quiet beaches, and excellent opportunities for cycling, walking and golf. There are numerous museums and activities for children within a short drive. Barend Holiday Lodges are around 500m away from the nearest bus stop (the 372 runs from Dumfries to Dalbeattie a few times a day). The nearest train station is in Dumfries. Parking for 2 cars is available directly outside the lodge.
