Brantford Upper Suite

This is a 150 year old home situated close to downtown. The property has been newly renovated and everything is fresh and clean. This is a private entrance upper suite with a kitchenette for smaller meals. Free wifi and some staple kitchen items such as tea and coffee. You will have a separate living and sleeping spaces. There is a small cafe table for your comfort and also doubles as a work station. This is a unique space! The entrance is shared with no one. You have everything private for your use. The laundryroom is shared...please bring your own cleaning supplies for washing and drying. The unit has an actual sitting room with TV and fireplace and a separate bedroom and bathroom. Enter in the front entrance. Construction 150 years ago was different to today's standards please appreciate this as with the beauty comes some things that we now consider odd. The home is built with double brick structure and for example the stair pads are steeper and shorter than today's standards. With the beautiful trim and hardwood floors and cast iron tub comes a delicate balance of the old and new. This is a century home there is a steep staircase to climb upon entering. We have a solar light at the front entrance and the chandalier is on a motion activation in the hallway. The kitchenette is well equipped and there is great potential for preparing meals during your stay. There is safe free parking on the street. The backyard is shared with our other suite guests. The laundry is in the home and also shared. ( bring your own supplies) We do not live at this property but we are close by. We can interact as much or as little as you wish. We know how to respect our guests privacy There are two units in this property and we expect people to be respectful of each other The area is a quiet family area. We are close to downtown...the hospital and many nature trails in the area There is public transit and the hub is just down the street. Most of our guests arrive by car This is a 150 year old house. People were smaller back (Website hidden by Airbnb) the stairs are smaller than what we are used to. The bathtub is an original cast iron deep soaker. The soft furnishings such as carpets and the bed and sofa are all brand new for your enjoyment and there are some antique pieces mixed in as well.
