Woodland Retreat

Woodland Retreat is a self contained, detached cedar lodge set within our private grounds. There is an open plan kitchen/living area with views of the woodland garden. Separate bedroom with wardrobe and drawers. Also a shower room with toilet, washbasin and heated towel rail. With access to a large decked, raised balcony overlooking the garden and fields with outdoor dining. Guests also have use of a BBQ. Please note there are 2 steps up to the raised balcony. Welcome basket on arrival includes tea, coffee, sugar, milk, local apple juice and home-made cakes. Price includes electric, bed linen, towels, tea towels and free WiFi access. Guests are welcome to walk around the grounds except the private gated gardens. Please note the front pond is accessible to guests and not only attracts wildlife but also children. Guests are fully responsible for their children at all times. We will welcome you on arrival and as we live on site, available if needed. The lodge is situated within 2.5 acres of woodland gardens, home to lots of wildlife and our resident ducks. A stream and two natural ponds; one of which is accessible to guests. Each season brings something new, snowdrops, elderflowers, blueberries, mulberries,apples, pears, variety of flowers and shrubs and of course our many trees including oak, ash, silver birch, hawthorn and hazel. We are 1 mile from the historic market town of Ledbury, Eastnor Castle, LandRover experience and Eastnor pottery. There are many walks from the lodge including into Ledbury over the hills, the Malvern hills and Eastnor deer park. We are approximately 16 miles from Gloucester, Worcester and Hereford. All nice cities with lovely cathedrals to visit. Few National Trust properties approximately 40 - 60 miles. Croome, Berrinton Hall, Croft Castle, Brockhampton, The Weir, The Firs and Hanbury Hall. There is a train station on Ledbury. We offer free wifi in the lodge. However, due to the countryside location, this can sometimes be spasmodic particularly if the weather is bad.
