A private newly built home on top of the Collingwood Hill where I live with my spaniel (Liddy). Majestic views, private patio, and garden to enjoy. Township is 8 minutes walking distance with Cafes, Tavern, Supermarket,Farewell Spit Tours, and museums. Come and spend a few days exploring the Farewell Spit, Wharariki Beach with seals and, Salisbury Falls, Caves, Pupu Springs, Historical Bainham Store, Milnthorpe Bush Reserve, Kaituna Track with gold relics. and wonderful Restaurants. You will have a lovely new home to stay in with your own bathroom next to your bedroom & a very special new bed that is so comfortable you will have a great nights sleep (The bathroom has a shower and bath, bath is available on request for a fee). The TV lounge is available for guests to use up to 8.30pm. A Continental breakfast is included in the price . Breakfast is available between 7am and 9am.(Or earlier if you are doing the Farewell Spit Tour) This is a very quiet area with clear night skies and expansive views right down the Aorere Valley, the River and the majestic Southern ranges, along with views of the Estuary. I live here with my lovely cocker spaniel (Liddy) and look forward to making your stay a welcoming and really enjoyable experience. Collingwood is in the heart of this amazing outdoor paradise and a perfect place to base yourself. In the evening you may be treated to the call of the NZ native Weka. The males will call across the valley to the female. We have many native birds here, including lots of Tui, Bellbirds and migrating sea birds from Alaska. We also have a family of around 27 White Spoonbills living on the estuary. You will have your own Entrance for coming and going. It is right next to your Queen bedroom with a spacious bathroom just for you. I have a lot of knowledge of New Zealand as I have travelled both Islands extensively and can provide you with information of some of the bests places to visit and all the great "must do" places around Collingwood area and the wider region. My home is located at the end of a very short street. It is a very quiet neighbourhood. The living space is at the back of the home, away from street view and street lights. You can freely enjoy the outdoor patio area with expansive views. It is an extremely safe area to visit and stay. It is important to me that my guests have a wonderful nights sleep, so I have purchased a new and very comfortable bed for you. The Farewell Spit Tours Office, Cafes and shops are around 10 minutes walking distance from here or 2 minutes by car. If you are planning to walk the famous Heaphy Track, I can take you to the beginning of the track which is 30 minutes drive from here, for a small fee of $50.00 to cover petrol costs there and back, (60km round trip) YES WE HAVE WIFI INTERNET !!
