NO SINGULAR MEN, PLEASE. I am hosting guests who have been vaccinated against Covid-19. This is strongly supported in Brattleboro and Vermont. Thanks for your honesty & integrity. Open to longer rentals. Enjoy the living room & dining room + cook in the kitchen. Teas & coffee are available. The room is on the 2nd floor & the guest bathroom is on the 1st floor. We’re a 20-min walk & 5-min. drive fr Main St. shops, restaurants, museum. We have a friendly old dog. There are two twin beds in the 2nd floor guest room. The room is comfortable and filled with favorite books. The guest full bath is on the first floor. Please Note: no singular men. Guests have the downstairs bathroom with a shower and tub. Some space in the refrigerator & pantry; dishes, cooking pans, and utensils are available. It is possible to do laundry--especially if we can make a full load. Winter parking off the street is available next to the driveway; spring, summer & fall parking is on the street in front of the neighbor’s, towards Cottage St. In nice weather, the back deck and picnic table with a table umbrella and tablecloth are enjoyable! This is a room in our home so we interact daily, especially in the kitchen. That said, we live busy lives and let our guests have their privacy. No singular males please. We are within 20-minutes walking distance of downtown, schools, cultural events, and shops. There are many trees in the neighborhood and town, lovely gardens, birds all around, and great views making local walks pleasant. Walk to town through neighborhoods in 20-minutes. There is a large grocery store, pizza places, bagel shop, and convenience stores within 10-minutes’ walk. Buses make the rounds a few times each day. There is a taxi service. Park on the street mid-April thru mid-November. We have off-street parking in winter (required by the town for snow removal). We heat with a pellet furnace and forced hot air. For environmental and economic reasons, we tend to have a warm-enough house, with slightly cooler temperatures at night, and sleep well under comforters. On rare hot weeks in the summer, we run window a/c units in the upstairs hallway and living room. Window fans are also used throughout the summer. Guests often say our home is comfortable, private, and restful.
