Charming house in a quiet neighbourhood (no noisy neighbours! :)). Available for ladies and couples only. Fantastic access to transport: walking distance to bus routes and train that all go to central Footscray & Victoria University (10 mins), central Melbourne and Flinders St (25-30 mins). 30 mins by car/taxi from Melbourne Airport. Beautiful outdoor area for relaxing with a book, cup of tea or glass of wine. Gorgeous cat that loves to greet new friends. Melbourne is famous for its changeable weather but don't worry! Central heating and air conditioning will make your stay comfortable and your sleep blissful. Spacious bedroom with room for luggage and to walk around. Drawer and wardrobe space available. Extremely comfy mattress (5 star back support rating). Fresh, crisp linen and towels provided. Ensuite private bathroom with shower, toilet, two sinks, hairdryer and ample space for toileteries. Common area includes, living room, dining room, kitchen and laundry. Guests are welcome to feel at home and make use of all these facilities. You'll feel close to nature with plenty of plants and flowers around, a beautiful front porch overlooking roses, and a spacious back deck that's wonderful for reading, relaxing, and watching the sunset. Ishi, my cat is friendly but gives people their space. :)) Guests are very welcome to ask me questions anytime. I'm always happy to share my unique insights into what Melbourne has to offer, including local restaurants, cafes, shopping, going out, and trips to other destinations in Victoria such as the Great Ocean Rd, Yarra Valley and Mornington Peninsula. Walking distance (2-5 mins) from Melbourne's West's most famous and popular cafe, West48. Other culinary delights and hidden local gems include an array of Indian, South Asian, Vietnamese and Ethiopian cuisine, such as Melbourne's famous Indian restaurant, Aangan. Dry-cleaning and supermarket is also in walking distance. The neighbourhood is so very quiet, it can even feel like being in the countryside. Even the birds tweet softly to ensure an undisturbed weekend sleep-in! Footscray is also home to some cozy local cocktail and wine-bars, such as Small French Bar, Backalley Sally's and Littlefoot, and some excellent craft beer bars like Mr West and even a local brewery, the Cheeky Pint. All just a short bus or taxi ride away (5 mins). For AFL, AFLW and VFL fans, Whitton Oval, home of the mighty Western Bulldogs, is just down the road. Fantastic access to transport! 2-3 minute walk to 4 bus routes: 1) The 216 and 219 buses go direct to Footscray & Victoria University (5-10 mins), Melbourne City Centre (Bourke st., Collins st.) & Southern Cross Station (25-30 mins), and the National Gallery of Victoria (35-40 mins). 2) The 220 bus also goes to Footscray, Vic Uni and the City, but also goes to the Queen Victoria Markets (20-25 mins)! 3) The 223 bus goes to Highpoint Shopping Centre, one of Melbourne's largest and most popular shopping malls, including cinema. West Footscray train station is just an 8-10 minute walk away. Trains go direct to central Footscray, Southern Cross Station, Flinders St. Station and Melbourne Central, which gives easy access to other great Melbourne venues such as the MCG and Rod Laver Arena. Finally, it's about 30 mins by car/taxi from Melbourne Airport. Please note that there are two cameras in the common area.
