Beautifully renovated, very well equipped cottage, set in its own grounds with original features and log burner. Great location for exploring sandy beaches and historic towns, all within 20/30 minutes drive. Short walk to Jugon. The property itself stands within its own 0.5 acre garden that is set with mature trees and shrubs. A patio area, with outdoor furniture and BBQ are provided and there is sufficient on site parking as well as a lockable barn can be used for storing beach,cycling, golfing equipment etc. Sympathetic renovation has enabled modern facilities to be made available for guests whilst maintaining the original features. There are beams and a log burner, as well as effective electric radiators for added cosiness. Downstairs the living/ dining area overlooks the well maintained garden (shared with our adjoining property) where you can enjoy peace and quiet. The kitchen area is equipped to a very high standard to enable fully self catered living and laundry facilities are provided. Both bedrooms are good size (one double, one twin) and are fully furnished. There is a bathroom upstairs and a separate toilet. Guest are able to access the whole of the property and have use of the garden, potentially sharing the garden with guests who may be occupying the small adjoining barn. BBQ equipment is provided and a lockable barn can be used for storing beach, cycling, golfing equipment, etc. The owner lives in England but can be contacted by e mail or phone, however Liz and Shirley, who have managed the property for 10 years, live close to the cottage and are contactable throughout your stay. Shirley is also French speaking. Location location location!, the biggest asset of this property. Easily reached by air, ferry or Eurotunnel it makes Clara an ideal rental for a long weekend or full length holiday. The cottage is located on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Jugon, lying between Dinan and Lamballe, so is an excellent centre for exploring this beautiful region of Brittany. Dinard, St Malo and Mont St Michel are all within an easy drive and safe sandy beaches can be reached within 30 minutes. Golfing, horse riding and cycling add to the wealth of activities available to ensure everyone a happy relaxing holiday. A brief walk takes you down to the Lake with all its water sports and fishing, as well as the accessible facilities provided by the camp site, these include tennis courts and an indoor and outdoor heated swimming pool. Similarly the village is within walking distance and boasts restaurants, bars and shops within a beautiful histroric market square, enabling the village to be recognised as a "Petites Cites De Caractere" The property has its own drive way to provide private parking. There is no public transport available in this area so you would need your own transport for exploring the area more fully but ideal for cyclists. Car rental available from Dinard airport or St Malo ferry port.
