Unique loft in former workshop with garden.

Situated at the edge of Oosterbeek you will find our former carpenters workshop from 1920 in which we have constructed a special loft. In this detached workshop on our property we have created living space in the loft for one or two persons. The ‘ijsvogel’ has it’s own entrance. From the hall you ascend to the second story where you will find a living space of around 85 m2 that can house 1 or 2 persons. Long sightlines and ample natural light make this loft a very pleasant place to stay. The ‘ijsvogel’ offers you all conveniences; a completely furnished kitchen with a dishwasher, fridge and microwave oven. There is also a large dining room/work table. The bathroom has a shower and a toilet. For those who wish to do so the light in the shower can be adapted to several colours whilst you take a shower. Of course you can also find a king-sized bed and a pleasant living room with a TV, stereo and reading material. By means of a stairway you can access the private garden. We are happy to inform you about the locality, hiking and bicycling options, restaurants, and cultural points of interest. The village of Oosterbeek, part of the municipality of Renkum in the province of Gelderland, is situated on the edge of wooded hills which host brooks, creeks, and the Zuid-Veluwe estates. To the south of the woods you will find the river Rhine and it’s extensive floodplains. There are ample opportunities for hiking, bike rides and mountain biking. Of course a cozy village center with supermarkets, shops, pubs and restaurants is near at hand. The battle of Arnhem during World War II has given Oosterbeek a special history. Arnhem is easily accessible by car, public transport and bicycle. The A50 and A12 motorways can be reached within 10 minutes. There is a train station at 10 minutes' walking distance and a bus stop within 2 minutes.
