Charming detached house with big private garden. Located in a quiet street, hosts a family of 4. Bright living room with south-facing windows giving plenty of natural light and access to the sunny terrace. The house has a big independent garden (2500 m²) bordered by hedges guaranteeing you a private stay. Depending on the season you'll have fresh herbs, cherries and wild strawberries for Eastern, prunes and mulberry in July, apples, grapefruit, kakis and figs in autumn. All rooms are on one level (110 m²). The kitchen is fully equipped with large fridge, traditional oven, Bosh microwave oven, Miele dishwasher. Queen size bed (180x200) bedroom and superposed single beds (90x200) bedroom. Bathroom with tub and overhead shower (washing machine). Outdoor furniture include "bier garden" style table and banks + table and chairs on the shadowed side, sun loungers, hammock and Weber barbecue. Wi-fi available (in all rooms, terrace and garden). I-pod cable connected to the Hi-Fi for music. Alarm system. Covered parking place for 2 cars. We can give plenty of tips for sightseeing and activities in the area. Our home is peacefully situated in a small street within walking distance (600 m) from Mombello village where you can find a local bakery selling breads and pastries, a small supermarket, bars and a restaurant. Laveno is 3 only kilometres away. From Laveno you can easily hop on any ferry and explore Lago Maggiore. Regular schedule towards Intra, Verbania, Stresa and the magical Borromeo islands with their ever-blooming tropical flora of palm trees, magnolias, roses and camellias. The cable lift brings you up on the "Sasso del Ferro" from where you can enjoy the wonderful landscape of the snow-capped mountains of Swiss and Italian Alps reflecting into the deep blue waters. Day trips can easily be made to the not-to-be-missed eremo of Santa Caterina del Sasso, built into the cliffs of the lake, the towering castle at Angera, the lively, waterfront town of Luino boasting on Wednesdays the largest open market of the area. 3 Km away is the lakeside town of Arolo with its cute little beach and lake-front promenade. Nearby, Cerro and Reno are charming little villages with promenade, marina and sandy beaches where you can enjoy the sunset in one of the summer bars. Here you can get information about sailing lessons for children and adults and boat rental. In addition to the water sports, be sure not to miss the great opportunities for paragliding, mountain biking, cycling or trekking. You need a car to go around, public transport do not reach conveniently the house. In the property there is a covered parking place for 2 cars. Malpensa airport is only 40 minutes away by car. For a shopping or sightseeing day trip to Milan we suggest to take the train in Laveno. Nearby ferry stations in - Laveno (3 km): persons and cars. Regular schedule (every 20-30 minutes) to Verbania Intra and from there to the Borromeo Islands, Stresa and other parts of the lake. - Angera (14 km): persons only. Regular schedule to Arona. Baby bed, Stokke trip trap and a changing table for babies also available. For children a sandpit and small swing outside and books & toys inside (but the best game are trees in the garden).
