The Brandy Pad self-Catering accommodation is your ideal choice for your next holiday or short break. Nestled in the foothills of the Mourne Mountains County Down,with many mountain treks just a few minutes away, or a short stroll to a blue flag Sandy beach. The cottage is surrounded with a great choice of quality golf courses Warrenpoint, Kilkeel, Newcastle. Just 150 metres to an 18-hole Pitch and Putt and only 2 miles from Carlingford Ferry and a short crossing to Greenore Golf course. Northern Ireland Tourist board registered. “The Brandy Pad “self-Catering Cottage is available for you to rent the entire property. The cottage is named after a well-known trek in the Mourne Mountains, which follows an old Smugglers path used in the early 1800 to carry their contraband (Brandy, Silk, Etc.) from the sea to a distribution point in land. The Cottage is well equipped with two large bedrooms each with a double bed and a single bed, sleeping 6 people comfortably. A travel cot, if required, is available at no extra cost. There is a full bathroom on the first floor with bath, over bath shower , wash basin and toilet. On the ground floor we have a separate WC, Toilet and wash basin. The main living room is a very large open plan Kitchen Dining and living room. Ample space for 6 people to dine and relax.We have installed in each room fixed charging points to recharge mobile phones and devices.. We strive to make our cottage your home for the duration of your stay, WIFI installed for your convenience, Colour Television and radio, a fully equipped kitchen, fridge, Microwave, Oven, Kettle, Toaster, Pots and pans everything you should need for your stay. The main living area is very comfortably furnished in cottage style. The cottage formally, an old school house has recently been refurbished to a very high standard. Oil fired central heating and Boasting a log effect stove and tasteful lighting which creates a wonderful place to relax and unwind. There is ample off road parking at the cottage. We are confident you will enjoy your stay at The Cottage is situated at No 8 Lurganconnary Road Cranfield Kilkeel BT3244LL only 2.5 mile from the bustling fishing village of Kilkeel with its many bars and restaurants. Only 300 yards from nearest convenience store and 1.5 mile from nearest supermarket opened seasonally in Sandylands Caravan Park. A stroll via Sandylands Caravan park to the nearest beach about 400 yards with a larger blue flag beach just further along. Carlingford ferry is a mere 1.5 miles to Greencastle ferry port. A short ferry crossing (15 Minutes) takes you to Greenore with a fantastic golf course, and the famous Carlingford village with its award winning restaurants and night life. A Sunday visit is highly recommended for lunch. The towns of Kilkeel, Newcastle, Rostrevor and Warrenpoint many with quality golf courses are easily accessible and only a very short and easy drive away with costal routes and stunning scenery. Splega Dam and The Silent Valley are all within easy reach. There is a welcome folder with lots of information about the surrounding area, included are many starting points for trekkers with detailed walk descriptions, contact details for local restaurants, golf clubs and visitor centres. The cottage is ideally situated for visiting the annual Warrenpoint “Blues on the Bay,” and Rostrevor “Fiddlers Green” Music festivals and just far enough away to ensure peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle at the end of the evening. The walls of the cottage are adorned with original Irish art work, all of which can be bought direct from the owner. The cottage is in the perfect location for Beach, Golf or trekking holiday. There is local bus transport throught the region however for greater flexibility i would suggest having your own vehicle.
