Burton in Lonsdale - a lovely countryside cottage.

This charming stone built cottage is situated in Burton in Lonsdale, near Kirkby Lonsdale and the Yorkshire 3 peaks. The cottage sleeps 4 people. 1 family bathroom and WC downstairs. The Lounge has a cosy feel with a real log burner, smart TV and fibre broadband. The small kitchen has a breakfast bar that seats up to 4 people. Roadside parking is available on a first come, first served basis. We are sure you find the cottage cosy and homely, with hopefully everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The cottage has a tiny outdoor space that leads from the kitchen, with a lovely churchyard view. We live an approximate 40 minutes away from the cottage so we can be available if needed. The cottage is located in a quiet pretty village, the perfect choice for a countryside retreat. The village boasts an excellent family run pub - The Punch Bowl, a 5 minute walk from the cottage. (We recommend to book in advance for their delicious home made food). The local community shop and Post Office is a 2 minute walk away, selling fresh bread and all your daily essentials. Burton in Lonsdale offers lovely mountain views as well as walks down by the the river Greta. There is plenty to do in the area - with the nearby popular town of Kirkby Lonsdale's excellent pubs and restaurants, the town bustling with life and shops, as well as the famous river view painted by Turner and quoted by John Ruskin "I do not know in all my country, still less in France or Italy, a place more naturally divine". Nearby Ingleton has the Falls, caves, and outdoor pool in the summer. The 3 peaks of Ingleborough, Whernside, and Pen-Y-Ghent are nearby for the more adventurous of guests. Remember your walking boots!
