You can get to the beach by walking along the road or climbing the hill behind the resort. The beach boasts a large variety of fresh seafood and local Thai restaurants. Behind Faasai Resort is the scenic mountain to the sea walking over Springwater Hill, which is worth a visit even by itself. In the forest are winding vines, giant termite mounds, wild figs and rare Siamese rosewoods. The Chanthaburi province coast line boasts hidden beaches, scenic fishing villages and beautiful walks in the close by national park. Lovers of nature will be spoilt in this area of Thailand as there is an abundance of unique local wild life and delicious local fruit. Chanthaburi has been titled the tropical fruit centre of Thailand and with good reason. This is easily observed at the local market which our staff is happy to take you to explore at your convenience. We offer guests the opportunity to experience nature in a safe and nurturing environment. You are encouraged to utilize the pool, explore the extensive gardens with swings and boardwalks or observe and enjoy our sacred bodhi tree or simply relax within the endless nature surrounds. Our eco resort is completely family friendly and the staff is here to help as much as possible with the little ones. There are a lot of safe areas for children to explore while you relax by the pool side. As part of our commitment to the environment we have developed the nearby White Water Lake nature sanctuary, which has natural freshwater springs, wetlands and a wide variety of rare local trees including agarwood, which is used to make incense, medicines and perfumes. You can visit White Water Lake for nature walks, bird watching, swimming or boating and to learn about Asian integrated farming techniques. You can also take part in rural activities - feed the cows and fish, harvest the rice, pick fruit such as papayas, mangosteen and coconuts or forage for herbs. Our local area, with its rich soil, humidity and warm climate and abundance of water, has a wonderful diversity of flora and fauna. It was once part of the spice trade with wild cloves, cinnamon, cardamom and peppers growing in the hills and mountains, along with many beautiful timber trees. By keeping wetland areas, wild pockets of bush, replanting spice trees and local trees, preserving old fashioned varieties of vegetables and fruit trees, and encouraging the self-seeding of local trees and plants, we are helping to preserve heritage and habitat. Past guests have enjoyed borrowing bicycles or walking to the beaches and fishing villages that are in close proximity to the resort. We can also organize a driver to show you around the area if needed. There is some great options close by for fresh seafood and beer literally on the beach. Let us know and we can show you where these places are.
