Welcome to our former home, which has successfully completed its first Airbnb season. It’s a beautiful bustling town, and The River Stour (made infamous by Constable and Gainsborough) is almost in view from the front bedroom, where you can picnic, walk or even row. Please note that I’m happy to compromise over price with longer bookings. Please message. The house is for complete use. The kitchen is fully stocked, as much as a family home working kitchen would be. We even have a couple of Nigella Lawson, Gordon Ramsey and Jamie Oliver cook books on the bookcase for you to seek advice from should you wish to wow your guests! Bathrooms will have bathing and washing items at your disposal, and quilted toilet roll. WiFi is strong. TV is smarter than most. Having raised teenagers who aren’t happy anywhere in this world unless their iPhones are fully charged, I have chargers on every bedside table to ease everyone’s stay. Board games are a plenty. Garden has a BBQ, but to save you cleaning there are several instant throw away bbq’s under the stairs, which you can place on the grill of the bbq. Garden is dog proof, plus, there’s a dog bed, spare leads, bowls and treats should you also love dogs more than humans! There are stunning walks by the river, areas to natural swim, a local pool with wave machine, markets, galleries and history to immerse yourself in. Guests have complete access. We won’t be in the area at the time of your stay, but I have a local housekeeper/key holder and a handyman should there be any issues. Their details will be in the handbook. Pub - Kings Head is a 4 mins walk directly left of the house (our front door and walk left) Superstore - Sainsbury’s is a 12 mins walk to the right of the house. We also have a Waitrose and Tesco Sudbury has a plethora of restaurants and pubs. Even a nightclub! Cambridge is less than an hour away and Long Melford made famous by Lovejoy and current antique dealers is a mere 4 miles away. The main line to London is a 15 mins walk from the house. Taxis are 24 hours if booked in advance and buses are linked to all local towns. There is a high chair under the stairs, and Cot bed is under the bed of the middle room. Umbrellas will be found there too. Look not too hard and you’ll find a football and pump. We also have extra chairs under the stairs should you be dining for 8.
