Welcome to Chapter Two - Melbourne, located in the heart of Melbourne village. The church was built in the mid (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) ’s and converted into several cosy dwellings over 30 years ago. The church has just been fully renovated to provide an unique and unforgettable stay for up to 5 people. Fantastic range of restaurants, shops and pubs, all on the door step. Perfectly located to explore some of south Derbyshires most beautiful sights, Calke Abbey, Staunton Harold, Donington Race track are all nearby. The original double church doors opens into the kitchen area of the open plan ground floor. From there you can access the Living and dining areas. Living Area: A quirky yet cosy area which consists of large electric log burner, large 4 seater chesterfield sofa and 50” smart TV. From here you can access the enclosed garden via the double patio doors. Kitchen/dining area: The beautiful bespoke kitchen has been designed to make the most of the space and is topped with solid Ash worktops. The dining table seats six and has a lovely view of the garden. The spiral stair case leads up from the dining area to the first floor landing space. From here you can access the new 4 piece Victorian bathroom and the first bedroom. Bedroom 1: A cosy double room with a large ornate window overlooking the heart of the village. A beautiful wrought iron king size bed sits in the centre of the room. Solid wood floor throughout. Bathroom: Contains a large stand alone shower with waterfall feature, Victoria roll top bath, Victorian toilet, wash basin with storage, Large illuminated mirror with de-mister and heated towel rail. Solid wood floor throughout. Bedroom 2: Located on the top floor via the spiral staircase. This large, open, quirky, high ceiling, wooden beamed, large ornate window and 3m high white Pelican room consists of a single/day bed on one side and a double on the other side. DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE STAIRCASE THIS BEDROOM HAS NO DOOR AND WITH THIS IN MIND WE STRONGLY SUGGEST OLDER CHILDREN ONLY FOR OBVIOUS SAFETY REASONS. Garden: Accessed through the living area. Just been beautifully landscaped with a new porcelain patio. The area is fully enclosed making it dog friendly and is an absolute sun trap throughout the whole day. Mediterranean vibes with a large dining area that includes an old church pew. Separate chill out seating area. Festoon lighting gives a lovely experience into the night. Always available via Airbnb, text message, (Hidden by Airbnb) and on the phone. So much stuff to do in Melbourne ! Lots of boutique shops, amazing cafes, and great restaurants. All of these places are literally on the door step!!! 1 minute walk to Amalfi White! Fantastic base for exploring Melbourne pool, Calke Abbey, Staunton Harold, Donington race track, Eastmidlands airport to name a few. Parking is on street in front of the property. Alternatively to the left of the church is a short pathway leading to a FREE long stay car parked. You can literally view the car park through the Velux window on the top floor. Several steps up to the property. The Spiral staircase we feel makes the property less suitable for the elderly and young children. Located on the main road in the centre of the village. The top for bedroom is fully open with no door.
