West Meon is within a mile of the South Downs Way with stunning countryside. Perfect for walkers and cyclists. West Meon has the famous Thomas Lord pub which is a few minutes walk away with its locally brewed beers, cider, fine foods and welcoming atmosphere. Also there is a great village shop, café and artisan butcher with delicious produce. The cottage has a spacious living room, well equipped kitchen and dining area. There are two double bedrooms with plenty of storage; a bathroom with a shower and a separate cloakroom with a lavatory and sink. There is private parking for two cars and a lovely garden and terrace. Your accommodation is accessed through a narrow black iron gate from the parking area. Then carry on along a path to the front door. There is a lockbox by the front door. I have lived in the village for 30 years and I will be happy to talk to you about the local area and give you information about local pubs, great walks, cycle routes, towns and villages, places to eat and sightseeing. The Meon Valley is a very beautiful area. The South Downs Way can be accessed within a mile of here. A perfect place for cyclists and walkers with stunning scenery. If you come in the summer months we have regular cricket matches going on and two tennis courts that are always available to use. The pretty town of Petersfield is a 15 minute drive away, Winchester 25 minutes and the historic city of Portsmouth 30 minutes. Jane Austen's House in Chawton is also a short drive away. There is also a regular bus route to Petersfield and Winchester and the bus stop is just a minutes walk away.
