River front Chambre D’hotes with great facilities

Stunningly renovated mill/farm house & grounds, with unique private river access & swimming in sunny Charente. Ideally located close to Ruffec, Verteuil & Confolens. Great for tourists, house hunters & guests as there are 2 nearby Chateau wedding venues. Or for those wishing to relax and unwind, we are on the edge of the idyllic rural village of Benest. Lots of walking, cycling, fishing and horse riding tracks. Restaurants, lakes & brocantes are all just a short car ride away. We are a B&B the house is also our home hence we ask that the inside of the house isn’t used in the middle of the day, however guests are very welcome to use our vast amount of outside outbuilding spaces including a beautiful barn games room with bar, sofa, pool table and lots of games. A romantic shabby chic outbuilding dining area with full dining facilities and BBQ. Many seating and sun bed areas and of course the river with the especially dug out deep swim hole. Private river access and private island on the river. Nature paths and tracks are also on our doorstep. Private bedrooms with en-suite showers and sinks. A small reading nock area. Our kitchen dinner is for breakfast meal only. Outside dinning and bar area also available. Full access to walled garden and outside space. Gated parking space at front oof property. No children under the age of 5. River access. Strong WIFI. We live onsite so are available when needed during your stay. Check in time flexible after 4pm, check out by 10.30 on day leaving. We don’t wish to be intrusive, we like to chat and recommend good restaurants and places to visit but will be mindful that you may wish to relax and unwind. We want you to enjoy your stay so please let us know immediately if we can do anything to improve your visit. Continental luxury breakfast consists of choice of cereals, yogurts, croissants, bread, home made jams, fresh fruit juices, teas, coffees. If you require anything in addition please just ask. In a pretty hamlet in a rural spot with lots of stunning countryside for walking, bike and horse riding on the edge of the pretty village of Benest close to Alloue both villages have a post office, general store. The towns of Champagne Mouton, Confolens and Ruffec are all an easy car ride away. Lots of local restaurants can be recommended. Car needed to access surrounding bars, restaurants, tea rooms, lakes, markets and shopping centres. Best of both worlds as we are rural however busy areas are just a short ride away. As a bed and breakfast we welcome guests to use outside facilities during the day including our outside dining, games room, private river access with swimming hole and many sunbathing and seating areas however as we are a chambre d hotes not a gite we ask that the house isn’t occupied between 10.30-3.30 daily. Fishing, walking riding all within easy reach, lakes , brocantes, antique markets are all a short car ride away. Lots of quality restaurants are just a short drive away including chateaus and Michelin star venues. We are located in Caillier a hamlet in Benest 16350. We are rural so lots of wildlife for animal lovers to enjoy.
