Marco Green House is a three apartments complex obtained from an historical “Cascina a Corte” farmhouse typical of the Lombardy region. The whole building has been recently renovated according to the green building principles and is conveniently located in the peacefullness of the countryside still being just half an hour from Milan. Marco Green House 2 is a fully furnished apartment. At ground level is the main entrance, the kitchen, a bathroom with shower and the living room equipped with a double sofa bed and possibility for adding a crib. Guests will also enjoy a reserved parking spot (secured by a gate at night), a small private garden and use of a portion of the courtyard. Mara and Matteo will be your helpful hosts and are available for any information or recommendation. Spoken languages are Italian, English and French. Our complex is located in the old town centre of Bellinzago Lombardo and it is just 15 min walk or 5 min bus from M2 (green line) underground station of Gessate, which takes you to Milan in about 30 mins. A4 Motorway (Autostrada A4) Cavenago-Cambiago exit it is at just 15 mins drive and the newly built A58 Motorway (TEEM) can be reached in less than 10 mins. “La Corte Lombarda” shopping centre is at walking distance to satisfy all your shopping and entertainment needs with its huge array of clothing stores, computer shops, a grocery supermarket, restaurants, bars, bowling and cinemas. Last minute grocery shopping can also be done in town or at Esselunga supermarket. Bellinzago Lombardo is strategically located half way between Milan and Bergamo. Milan Linate (LIN) Airport and Milan Orio al Serio (BGY) are just half an hour drive. Closest railway stations are Melzo and Pozzouolo Martesana reachable in just 10 mins. Milano Centrale train station is at about 40 mins via M2 (green line) underground. From here you will be able to reach Rome in 3hrs and Venice in 2hrs and a half. In your spare time you can also visit the Unesco World Heritage site of Crespi d’Adda, Trezzo sull’Adda, Vaprio d’Adda and Cassano d’Adda and their villas and castles dating back to18th Century. Just behind our apartments there is access to one of the longest bike path in Italy which spreads out for about 75 km from Milan to Lake Lecco along Naviglio Martesana canal and the beautiful sceneries of Adda River, which are said to be the inspirating location for many Leonardo Da Vinci’s paintings, including the Mona Lisa. Worth a visit is also the small village of Montevecchia on Lecco hills. Bergamo Citta’ Alta (Upper City) with its medioeval citadel is one of the finest location in Northern Italy. Lake Como is only 1 hour drive and should really not be missed. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy closeness of Alps at just about 1 hour with their infinite possibilities of hiking and mountain biking trails, ski resorts and downhill bike parks.
