A short drive to spectacular north Coast beaches or Cradle Mountain World Heritage Area with its ancient forest and walking tracks Unique native wildlife and stunning scenery abounds in all directions. All close by are a canyon, caves, kayaking on a great lake, waterfalls, the nightly parade of Little penguins and the list goes on. Perhaps relax on the verandah with your wine to watch the beautiful sunset and wait for the nightly wildlife visitors or sit by the fire with a good book. A tastefully furnished room with own ensuite, queen size bed, electric blanket, bedside tables, lamps, linen and toiletries. Full breakfast is included in the room price, and by prior arrangement we can also offer a home cooked evening meal for an extra fee. Each room has a small fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Your room opens onto the verandah where you can sit enjoy fantastic views over the valley below. Unfortunately, there is a small lip into the shower making it not so wheelie friendly. The fireplace will be on and waiting for you on those chilly winters evenings where you can sit and talk about your days adventures. We are happy to chat or leave you to enjoy the serenity . After dark the happy native creatures wander around the yard and are always a joy to watch. Guests can sit and enjoy reading by the fireplace in the guest lounge. There is also a formal dining room which can be used for writers, working or for meetings. We can cater for meetings/events if needed by prior arrangement. We understand that people want their space and privacy. As this is our home as well, we are always available to answer any of your questions and offer any advice of local areas and attractions to visit if needed. Wilmot is a quaint little village on the way to Cradle Mountain World Heritage Park.. There is a fabulous local museum and a country store to get fuel or some provisions to take to Cradle Mountain with you. Wilmot is a farming area nestled on the side of Lake Barrington. A town Hall market every change of season is a must do with local produce and other goodies for sale. There is no public transport to Wilmot so you will need a car to get around . The roads are very good and always its a scenic drive. No smoking No pets No cooking in rooms No access to kitchen No BBQ We can offer an evening meal by arrangement for an extra fee.
