Studio Cottage/Lake Champlain

This is a stand alone studio cottage with a lovely screened porch. Our cottage is located on our 7 acre residential lot. This is not a rural property. We have a beautiful out door wood fired sauna, with a lovely pond . Perfect spot to enjoy the Autumn foliage as well to go off leaf peeping in the Adirondacks. You can take advantage of the Plattsburgh City Beach and two Local State park beaches within a few minutes drive, all beaches offer a sandy beach, and swimming. Our cottage is unique and located in a quiet setting. Great for boaters and Bass fishing as the boat launch is less than 1 mile away . We have ample room and safe storage with power hook up for a boat trailer. Please note that we will only accommodate one boat with trailer per reservation. Kayaking is also very popular with many spots on Lake Champlain and surrounding Adirondack ponds. ADK hikers , most of the 46'ers are within less than an hours drive with a 50 minute drive to Lake Placid. State Beach- Ausable Point is just down the road. Golf is less than a mile away and Pickle Ball and tennis courts are close as well. Our cottage is within walking distance to Snug Harbor Marina, with a new restaurant called the Mariner with excellent dining. Clinton and Essex County has some of the best cycling routes in the country, which are accessible from the cottage, As a member of the Adirondack Cycling Club and Women on Wheels, I would be happy to map out some bike routes for you, or you can join me for a ride with our club. We live where folks like to vacation!! The cottage is on our property to the back of our home , plenty of privacy in a wooded secluded area, located just off Route 9. Uber and Lyft are available in our area. Will be happy to give directions to local restaurants, destinations and sports activities. As an avid cyclist and member of the Adirondack Cycling Club and Women On Wheels, I would be happy to map out bike routes as well as suggest routes posted on Map My Ride. In addition, you will find information on the (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Plattsburgh Pickle Ball page for when and where to play. Private dead end road with Summer Camps and year round residences. We are located very close (4 miles) to Plattsburgh International Airport and within a one hour drive to Burlington Vermont International Airport via the Lake Champlain Ferry. Public Golf course is 1/2 mile , boat launch 1/2 mile and State Beach and campground 1.5 mile from cottage. 50 minutes to Lake Placid, 45 to Whiteface Mountain and 60 minutes to the Keene Valley, where the trail heads are to several high peaks. Please know that we have always and will continue to provide impeccable cleaning of all surfaces utilizing Clorox products. Laundry has and will continue to washed separately utilizing hot water etc. We will maintain social distancing upon arrival and will be wearing a Mask. Our cottage is equipped with one queen bed with a pull out sofa bed (double).Both with memory foam mattresses. Port-a -Crib and high chair are available, just let us know your needs. The kitchen is equipped with pots and pans, a two burner cook top, a small table top(toaster oven) oven/air fryer, coffee pot and small fridge and freezer. Outdoor charcoal grill and fire pit is available. Please note that we have a smaller hot water tank. If 4 adults are booking (which is tight) , taking showers back to back becomes a challenge. However, in the summer we have a wonderful outdoor, private shower which many quests have enjoyed. This year (2020) we have updated our heating/AC system to a quiet split system. Newly carpeted in 2021. The bathroom has had a complete renovation in 2019. All sheets and towels are high-end 100% cotton products. The cottage is perfect for two adults and two children, a tight fit for 4 adults. 4 persons max , no exceptions.
