Halliday’s Folly - Spacious Cottage with parking
Halliday’s Folly is a spacious cottage with two ensuite bedrooms, breakfast kitchen, lounge and downstairs shower room. One bedroom has a king sized bed and the second bedroom has two single beds, both with ensuite bathrooms. There is a sofa bed in the lounge creating additional sleeping space with a downstairs shower room. The Folly is set within a shared driveway with off road parking for two cars and there is a patio area to the front of the Folly for alfresco dining. WIFi is available throughout the house with an internet only Amazon Fire TV. Greetham is a working village in the beautiful county of Rutland, very close to Rutland Water with plenty of country walks nearby. Convenient for Stamford (15 mins) and Oakham (10 mins). The village has two pubs - The Wheatsheaf (Top 50 Gastropubs UK) and The Plough both serving excellent food (booking is recommended) and both within a few minutes walk of the cottage. Rutland Water offers sailing, fishing, walks and cycle hire. Stretton Lakes are very close by for fishing. Greetham Valley Golf Course, driving range and Archery is 3 mins by car. The beautiful Belvoir Castle is only half an hour away. The market town of Stamford is well worth a visit, as is Burghley House. Your hosts Jo and Carl live on site and will meet you on arrival. Halliday’s Folly is situated alongside Halliday’s Cottage within a gated shared driveway. We like to meet guests at check in and then give our guests privacy to enjoy their break. We live on site so are usually available anytime, if needed. Parking space for two vehicles within a gated shared driveway. We welcome pets by prior arrangement only, please be aware that there is no grassed area or secure garden, however there are plenty of country walks on the doorstep and dogs must be toileted offsite. The Folly can be booked alongside Halliday’s Cottage for a maximum of 8 guests.
