Town House - Double Bedroom & adjoining balcony.

The townhouse is located in an ideal part of Alton Town, five minutes from the train station. The light and airy bedroom has an attached balcony, not suitable for children. The bathroom is located across the hall. A continental style breakfast will be served, in your room or down stairs in the dining room. We have a small dog, he lives downstairs, he is very friendly and will give you lots of attention if you ask for it. You can use the kitchen to make drinks & light snacks. The garden is also accessible, weather permitting, to sit outside & drink your coffee or just relaxing with a book. Alton is a lively market town right in the heart of Jane Austen country. The surrounding landscape is picturesque and tranquil. Wander around the lovingly-preserved rooms at Jane Austen's House Museum in nearby Chawton. Visit the Allen Gallery – one of South East England’s most marvellous ceramics collections with regular exhibitions, a coffee shop and garden. Pop into the Curtis Museum to see some local relics (including the famous Saxon artefact, the Alton Buckle) and to get some insight into Alton's fascinating history. Very convenient for the station, five minutes away. Good location for visiting the surrounding areas, Jane Austen in the village of Chawton, Winchester and the Watercress Line to name a few. A parking space can also be arranged with the host if necessary.
