La Maison De… is the French for The House Of… so you can name it yourself! The house offers four bedrooms in the heart of the Bordeaux vineyards. This is the ideal place to relax and to discover the region. Our property is gated with a 1 hectare garden, full of plants, trees and scenic views of nature. There are inviting spots to relax on a perfect sunny day. Our home dates back from the period of 19th century and so we renovated to modern standards and furnished each bedrooms with private bathroom. It is a cross-over of modern and classic, whilst preserving the regional style. Each bedroom: - 25m2 with high ceilings - bathroom with either a shower or bathtub - window with traditional shutters - individually styled and furnished Please note: We have not placed a television in each bedroom but there is one in the Living room. Wifi is also available throughout the house. If you fancy a brief walk for fresh air or just find a quiet spot to relax, the Garden is always open to our guests. In summer, we may even have some surprises here for you… The Living room area is a common space. It is equipped with a fireplace, TV, a selection of books and seating facilities ideal for lounging, work or maybe just to see who is around. Our Living room also serves as a breakfast space in the mornings from 7:00 am until 11:00 am. Breakfast is included so please ensure to notify us in advance of any dietary requests or food allergies. We will be more than happy to advise you on the must see and dos of the region. We can also assist to book visits or other services for you. We are situated in a tranquil part of Espiet village of only 750 inhabitants. There is Espiet lake for swimming and water skiing, a proper cycle route, La Sauve abbey and Chateau de Curton which can be viewed from our garden. All of which are within a few minutes on foot. If you feel like venturing further, there is Saint-Emilion medieval town nearby for some epic wine tasting and photography. Even further is the historical city of Bordeaux itself and if you want the sea, there is Arcachon with its oyster farms and sandy beaches. Bus stop down the road (bus coming from/going to Bordeaux). Bordeaux train station - 30min drive. Bordeaux airport - 45min drive. Saint-Emilion train station - 15min drive. Bergerac airport - 1h 10min drive. Cycle path from/to Bordeaux at 10min from the house. Please note: La Maison De... is a smoke-free home, although it is possible to do this in designated smoking areas outside.
