Located in the wine making village of Tuchan within walking distance to local facilities, including a range of shops and local restaurants. The house with private pool is well situated, being set in a peaceful rural french village right in the heart of the Corbieres wine growing region, only a short drive to a range of stunning Mediterranean beaches and within easy reach of Carcasonne, Narbonne, the Cathar castles and Perpignan. The house is set over two floors and has 4 bedrooms. The house can easily accommodate up to 7 (plus an additional baby/young child in cot), making it the perfect getaway and great value for an extended family, or even two families to share. Bathrooms x 1 The main bathroom has both a bath, shower, bidet and sink. Toilets x 2 There are 2 seperate WCs, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor. Outdoor space The house is south facing and sits on a gated plot of 6000sqm which includes it's own private vineyard and olive grove. Swimming pool (heated) Private heated swimming pool (10m by 4m) with sun terrace overlooking Pyrenees. Sun loungers and outdoor seating provided. Outdoor Kitchen and Terrace Covered outdoor terrace and outdoor kitchen area, with BBQ. Garden furniture and a range of outdoor games provided. There is a second sun terrace along the front of the house overlooking the Pyrenees. Children's adventure playground and mud kitchen Located in the Olive Grove and visible from the house. Adventure playground includes 2 swings, climbing frame with 2 castle turrets and connecting wobbly bridge. Also enclosed kids play zone with mud kitchen, kids outdoor seating and other outdoor toys. Balcony On the first floor there is a south facing balcony overlooking the Pyrenees. Guests have sole access to the whole house and private pool and grounds. Guests will have self service entry/exit to and from the property. There is a full house manual available at the property for guests. Additionally, guests are invited to contact us throughout their stay for any questions, concerns or advice/recommendations. Otherwise, we'll leave you to enjoy the tranquility of the area and make the most of your stay. Aude is served by some great local airports including Carcassone, Perpignan and Beziers, and remains a relatively undiscovered and charming destination in southern France. There are an abundance of stunning scenic drives and beautiful historic towns and villages as well as Mediterranean beaches. Guests can visit the stunning UNESCO World Heritage walled city of Carcassone, the Canal du Midi, Lagrasse and our own personal favourite - a tour of the Cathar castles such as Perepetuse and Queribus, just 10 mins away. For beach lovers, there are a variety of beautiful Mediterranean beaches within 35 minutes drive. Sample the high life in the nearest michelin star restaurant just 30 minute drive away; or eat more modestly at the great local cafes and restaurants. For the adventurous and sporty there is paragliding white, water rafting, gorge canynoning, rock climbing and many many peaceful roads for road or mounting biking available locally. You ideally need a car to be able to explore the surrounding areas. Taxis can be hired locally, should you wish to leave the car at home for an evening out. There is also bike hire location in the village.
